"My partner and I have been living here for over a month now and while the location is great, we have had a very poor experience with our rental unit and the responses we have received from management are unacceptable. We were provided a unit that was NOT SAFE with both a rusty dishwasher and rusty washing machine (and then a second dishwasher that was not properly installed and completely fell out of from the counter). The unit is NOT HEALTHY with the lack of cleanliness from turnover which has caused asthma attacks, specifically when we turn on HVAC. The complex is an older building but it is how management responded to our issues is why they deserve 0/5 stars. Katie, the property manager, has shown an unwillingness to address our ongoing issues and diminished the health concern resulting from our unit as “allergies”. She has a tendency to avoid accountability of providing an unsafe and unhealthy unit by shifting blame on vendors, which is greatly unprofessional and inefficient. The only time she had actually addressed something was when we brought up the lack of email signatures from the leasing office since we had no clue who was responding to us. Even when corresponding with her Aventino manager email, she still refuses to sign-off her emails with her name. It is embarrassing for Aventino Apartments as a whole to have such poor leadership. As of Nov 11, we are still waiting for an update about the dishwasher components. Rather than giving us a new appliance, she would rather us wait for weeks and months. So much for paying top dollar for a rental and having continued issues. We have talked to other residents here and they have expressed similar experiences such as having their phone calls not returned by management (we had many emails sent that were avoided) and having allergic reactions in their unit as well. Management likes to say that resident satisfaction is important to them but do not work with their tenants towards a positive resolution. I would like to note that James, the maintenance supervisor, is the only person from management that shows genuine empathy for the residents and actually delivers resolution. It is disappointing that management leadership does not hold such values. 11/14/23 update: my Yelp review (which includes screenshots of correspondence with management) received the exact response that they had given another tenant reviewer. Do not waste your time at Aventino Apartments where management pretends to value resident experiences."
"Aventino is a beautiful complex run by the worst management you have ever and will ever experience. DO NOT RENT HERE IF YOU RESPECT YOUR WALLET AND YOURSELF. I have been renting for nearly 4 years now, and Aventino in Los Gatos has been the worst experience renting I have had period. Upon moving in we were greeted with a broken fridge, rusted washing machine, broken dishwasher, leaking sink, dirty apartment, broken window, and mystery allergens who've caused my partner to use her entire rescue inhaler within a month. We reached out to management MULTIPLE times and have had some of these problems resolved, however the ONLY reason anything was actually done was not out of care but out of obligation; as if these issues were not fixed the apartment itself would've been harmed. Too bad for us tenants that we are not treated in the same regards. If you think that emailing and calling were not enough to fix things we agree it's not. So be prepared to be lied to (to your face!) by management as they make promises they can't keep and then blame it on a lack of training. As of writing this review, the allergies persist and management refuses to reimburse us for the costs of cleaning our air ducts and apartment. We still have a broken dishwasher, for the which we have not revived any updates about since October 11th and management is still avoiding our emails. If you are looking to wash your dishes by hand, fight management every time something in your unit breaks, experience the worst mystery allergic reactions to things you can't identify, and deal with the most passive aggressive management staff ever, you will be find your home at Aventino in Los Gatos. As others have said, "Do not walk away from this place RUN!"."
"Hi i have been a resident here for awhile and I would like to say I have witnessed great improvement this past year with the new staff. The property is soooo gorgeous and close to the Los Gatos creek trail for me to walk my dog. The resident events are a blast too! Happy I chose Aventino."
