"The Good: The management team of Essex Crow Canyon is helpful in their own way. They are very knowlegeable of their craft and they try to help when called. The complex is fairly quiet with lots of parking. You can still hear the birds sing. Engineers are quick and attentive to your needs. The area is, other than tree leaves, clean and green. The common areas, for BBQ, swimming, parties, are pristine and readily available for use. The gym is like your personal at-home 24hr Fitness (only its from 5am-9pm ) We have a few food trucks and meet & greets. No trash /dumpster smell The Bad Unfortunately, there are negative observable behaviors that I would like for future and current tenants to know and base their move: 1. Accounts Receivable-it takes weeks to reply. I questioned some of the rental cost. There are different rent increases yearly which i think is based on cola. It's not 3% or 5% but 3.34% or 5.54% depending. So check your invoices all the time. 2. The Essex accounts would respond to you probably in this way "you signed the lease, thats what you pay," in response to reasons behind the different increases. 3. Noise should be tolerated from 7am-10pm even if the people upstairs play with their dog inside the house with probably a bowling ball. Even on a Sunday morning. and or nights. The assistant manager will tell you that they are proud to be a family oriented company (to a gay person and his cancer stricken roomie. The comment was insensitive and sarcastic) Sure you have 30 days to try, or you can transfer or find another place (after spending and paying the old and the new apts and their respective deposits) My suggestion would be to get to know the renters and create a binder profile of who they are based on their interactions. So when others move in, they could disclose the environment) 4. Parking - I would guess that after some incidents and mishaps, Crow Canyon repainted, renumbered, relabeled pavements, parking spaces, etc. and emailed residents. RESERVED is not for those moving in or out folks. Youre just lucky its vacant or no one has reported you and tows your car. (I may be wrong but in 2020, the towing company is all the way in Union city) Overall, beautiful location, well kept area. Theres always opportunity for development and growth."
