Reviews of The Union Flats
"Shame.. beautiful space but management is horrendous… came to a viewing only to find out the spaces advertised were “a system error” and they weren’t actually the floor plans available. Understandable. The customer service on the other hand was inexcusable. Austin was terrible. Super rude and was answering phone calls and leaving me to attend to random things. He was being super short because I kept telling him that it showed online that there were lofts available and he kept telling me there weren’t. When I showed him he was wrong he brushed it off as a system error. Not only was he rude but on top of that after all that he wouldn’t let me use the bathroom. Unbelievable. Can’t imagine what it would be like living here if they treat potential tenants like dirt. Leads me to believe the comments about terrible management are true. Shame because like I said, beautiful apartments."
"Beware: Unreliable Leasing Office at The Union Flats I recently had an incredibly frustrating experience with the leasing office at The Union Flats, and I feel compelled to share my story to warn others. I applied for a one-bedroom apartment on February 21st and was promised a quick turnaround time of 3-5 days for the background check to be completed. However, 12 days later, I was still in limbo, with no clear timeline provided despite daily inquiries. To make matters worse, the leasing office informed me later that the background check wouldn't be completed until March 21st, leaving me essentially homeless in the interim. This delay, coupled with their inability to provide even an estimated move-in date, was completely unacceptable. What's more, the manager, Samay Ebadi, failed to show up for our scheduled video tour appointments not once, but twice, without any notice. Shockingly, I later learned that this wasn't an isolated incident; another prospective tenant also experienced the same no-show from him. It turns out Sam had lost the iPad necessary for conducting the tours, yet instead of addressing the issue transparently, he continued to allow video tour appointments to be booked online. This level of incompetence and disregard for prospective tenants' time and well-being is appalling. The leasing office's behavior is not only unprofessional but also potentially harmful to those seeking housing. Throughout this ordeal, the leasing office showed a complete lack of accountability and professionalism. Despite taking my application fee, deposit, and personal information, they failed to deliver on their promises and left me stranded without a place to live. It's evident that the leasing office's behavior is not only unprofessional but also potentially harmful to prospective tenants. I urge anyone considering renting at The Union Flats to proceed with caution and thoroughly research their leasing practices before committing. No one should have to endure the stress and uncertainty that I experienced. In summary, my experience with the leasing office at The Union Flats has been nothing short of a nightmare. I hope by sharing my story, others can avoid similar frustrations and find a rental experience that values tenants' rights and well-being."
"Toured this Community in 2017 and again last weekend. I am extremely impressed with how well the property has been kept up. I toured at least 5 units and they were all fresh and clean and the appliances still looked new. I took Bart from Oakland because there was traffic and I wanted to see how the commute would be. It was only 17 minute Bart ride versus the 1 hour 15 minutes on the 880 and a 5 minute walk. If you are a commuter this property is ideal. I want to say Thank you to Sam for your help with my 1,000 questions and also to the Manager Adriana who called me today for feedback on my tour. It's rare you ever feel valued as a customer however the Union Flats Team made me feel like family! I am excited to consider Union Flats for my July move!"
"My partner and I have lived at The Union Flats for over a year, and our experience has been great so far! The apartment unit is very nice because of the high-rise ceilings and the soundproof walls. The community events bring everyone closer, and the cute cats roaming outside add a nice touch to the community vibe. The highlight of our time at this complex has been the excellent support from the maintenance team. Jacob has consistently ensured that our living space is in top-notch condition. From swiftly fixing our washer to addressing a damaged window, his dedication and swiftness in resolving issues have elevated our overall satisfaction in this community. We chose to renew our lease primarily because of Jacob's assistance; he stands out as one of the most reliable maintenance personnel among all the complexes I have resided in."
"I previously posted a beautiful review while the property was managed by Greystar who did a phenomenal job. I am no longer at the property do to primarily a huge security reason. The new management are nice I have nothing but a positive experience with them however it did take some time to get a response on emails but now I believe they have a bigger stuff to be able to respond the property is nice the cleaning lady she works very hard she takes very good care of the property so if she ever needed a resident recommendation I would definitely her one. As for the residents I feel kind of bad. I'm not sure if it was that I was in a wheelchair with a disability but it seemed like almost all the other residents except a small handful of course, acted snooty or plain rude and even ignored when I pass and say hi. I even had people shut the door right in front of me. So I felt very unwelcome there. But I could really care less, my current new property my neighbors and other residents are awesome! So let's talk about the security aspect. They have a security guard phone number posted that never picks up the phone no matter how many different times I've called them I have even one recorded where I left messages and they never called me back. Poor choice in security company. My car was stolen in the most traveled and brightest area of the third floor parking "secure" garage. If you have an outside storage make sure you secured with a "U" lock type of device unless you want your lock cut and the stuff inside stolen. Don't bother trying to call the security company you'll just end up leave a message and not getting called back, just go back to bed it's a better use of time. Parking in the garage is limited, but it's okay to park in the handicap without a plate or placard. I brought it up to the attention to the management and I was told that they they have limited amount of parking so it must be used and that's why they have done nothing about it. So Ok.... More the reason why I I did not feel welcome to or accepted as a disabled resident at the union flats. It is what it is, that's life. So yeah I try to be as open-minded as possible however there are things that have caused me not to renew my lease there. But overall as long as you're not disabled you won't feel unwelcome by the residence. Its a very close proximity to Bart, UF do seem like they are upgrading a lot of the furniture. The maintenance team is great. But other than the issues that I experienced. I am probably about 50/50 my recommendation to lease there. it won't be bad but it won't be great. I was there for 3 years and this IS MY HONEST review."
