Costco Pharmacy

"UPDATE 2: A tech I didn't recognize, Brie(who's tag said she'd worked for costco since 2007), was SOOO horrifically slow. Probably because she was too busy complaining about the register and whisper gossiping with one of the other girls, but still, you'd think someone who'd worked there for over 15 years would be able to run a register while she runs her mouth... UPDATE: IF THE TECH ISN'T WEARING A NAME TAG, PREPARE FOR THEM TO BE RUDER THAN IMAGINABLE Some of the techs are so nice! They don't deserve to work in a place where it is managed so poorly that even if you call the day ahead, your prescription won't be ready."

"Slow an inefficient service. Some technicians are so incompetent that they keep asking for dob, over and over again. Management should retrain these staff and improve customer service."

"Costco pharmacy is our primary pharmacy but I am not happy with the service at all. Every time I need a prescription medication, they take so much time to make it ready. Sometimes they call when it is ready sometimes they don't. I have to go there multiple times to pick up the medicine. You might need a medicine right away if it's an urgent case. I can understand some delay but not this much. Otherwise the otc medicine selection is good and inexpensive compared to other pharmacy."

"This Costco Pharmacy is WAY more reliable then the other stand alone pharmacies in town. Also, if a med has to be ordered they get it ordered right away, and get it in much faster than the other pharmacies. I have always had friendly service there, and the meds are a great price!"

"Doctor called in the precription. Costco said they will fill it. On Saturday afternoon we drove an hour to Costco to pick up the meds and the pharmacist refused to release them "without doctor's approval" until Monday 1pm. This was on Saturday at 5:30pm. This happened before, but they used "insurance authorization" as an excuse. Today, their excuse was needing doctor's authorization, even though the doctor called it in days before. I'd give them 0 stars if I could. Now we have to drive in to town on Monday once again, 2 hours round trip. Costco has great prices on things, including meds, but that is no reason for terrible service. I pay a membership fee for the discounted prices and as a member, I expect acceptable service."
