"I like that they were modern and the neighborhood was conveniently located near the freeway and food. I actually had to sue them in court to get my deposit returned, I had a professional maid service monthly, no pictures no TVs on my walls and they tried to charge over 1400$ for paint and cleaning. so I guess if you’re willing to lose the deposit and not have any amenities, or parking it’s nice. Waiting on the judgement to be paid now."

"We've been so patient, yet they continue to disappoint. It has been over 35 days since we moved out. NO DEPOSIT RETURNED. Matthew Hoffman from oWow asked for our Zelle account a couple weeks ago so they can return our remaining deposit. We have followed up with a couple emails and phone calls. They went completely silent on us. During our 12-month, the building was not maintained very well. No laundry machines ever work. They ate a lot of our money. Just horrible maintenance and customer service overall. We have let a lot of things slide because we understand that things get busy. But this is just too much. SPEND YOUR MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE."

"Very unsafe neighborhood, cars are getting stolen, people have been robbed and assaulted. Owow doesn't return any email or phone calls. They inflate utility bills to scam the tenants. They dump construction materials from other projects into the dumpsters and make the tenants pay for it. One unit was squatted by drug users the police was involved and found narcotics and weapons. The fire alarm has been incorrectly installed and goes off often. Owow refuses to fix the second elevator because they don't want to pay 10000$ to the elevator company. The second elevator is often trashed and filed with animals excrements. Owow are scammers and liars"

"It’s OK. Lived here for a year. Units feel cramped, with low ceilings and awkward floor layouts. Lots of noise penetration from neighboring units. General finishes feel nice at first but are ultimately cheap and start showing that fairly quickly. Otherwise generally unremarkable. All the extra fees for the different “amenities” start adding up quick. Moved out because it didn’t feel worth the price, and felt like the extra fees were just insulting. Am now living in a much older, but more solid complex with more traditional management that seems focused on maintaining long term tenants."

"Been here for almost a year, like all newish properties there are some growing pains (my reason for knocking a star off). The apartments are modern - great for college students, small families, commuting professionals & techies. For the most part communal areas are pretty well maintained. I can’t stress this enough, the highlight of the property is the maintenance team, especially Marvin, he has the most face time with the residents and wears all the hats. Despite how busy he is, he goes out of his way to check in with every resident that passes by. He genuinely cares about the safety and well being of the residents. I would honestly say, he is the backbone of 1919Market and he sets a gold standard of what every property management needs. I’m a strong believer that you should love where you live. The neighbors come from all walks of life, look out for one another, and you can really feel the sense of community here."
