Reviews of J & M Sportfishing
"We took our grandchildren fishing on the New Horizon boat with Daniel as our captain and Kayla as our deckhand. I cant say enough good things about them both. Kayla was awesome with helping the kids(and myself). She was so attentive and helpful with everything we needed. While we were anchored and fishing even the captain came down to join us and cheer the kids on and talk. If you have younger kids...or inexperienced people in your group...i would highly highly recomend this boat and these people. My grandchildren will remember this forever. We even got to stop on the way back in to see the dolphins and sea lions chasing food. Super amazing trip...and we all caught or limit of fish too!!!"
"Celebrated my dads 65th bday with this gift. We both really enjoyed the trip. First time catching and cooking sand dabs and they are quite delicious! I would definitely book with them again in the future! Deckhand was very nice and easygoing, makes for a wonderful trip! It was very cold, I suggest doubling up on clothes and especially socks. My feet were ice cold. The best part is, after the 8hr trip you get back to an amazing assortment of seafood on the wharf to celebrate your successful trip!"
"My first time going RockCod fishing in June was amazing thanks to J&M! I enjoyed it so much I booked another trip with them in August and it was even better than the last time. Thanks in whole to Andrew and the other crew members! They were extremely helpful and resourceful! I didn’t catch the other crew member names but they were also very helpful! The crew helped me and my family remove hooks off fish after every fish we caught in order to give us more time on the water. The help was great in helping us reach our RockCod fish limit faster! I will be taking my family here for more RockCod trips in the near future. Thank you J&M!"
"We booked a last minute rock fish trip and had a great time! It was the 3pm-7pm trip and everyone on board caught a lot of fish. The Captain and crew were great. There was plenty of space at the front of the boat and it was crowded at all. We had our catch filleted which was well worth it. Felt safe the entire time on board. If going in the afternoon wear layers! It gets cold at the front of the boat."
"Amazing fishing experience. We went on the Sand Dan's and Dungeness crab trip and in our group there was 3 and 27 total on the boat. Amongst us 3 we caught 55 Sand Dabs and each of us got a Dungeness crab as well. Alfredo the deck hand did an amazing job and made sure everything was working properly. Great job Alfredo. Chris the boat captain as well made sure we were in all the right spots to catch the fish and he interacted with all of the fisherman. I recommend you take motion sickness medicine as you might get sick if you don't, the medicine works very well. Also bring food and drinks because you are on the water for about 7 hours. In the end we will going back in April for the Cod fishing trip."
