Shoreline Apartments

"Constant concern with package theft. Pretty sure residents routinely steal from you. My bicycle was cut off of the bike rack (in the “secured garage”). Someone stolen our pumpkin from our front door. A homeless guy likes to frequent the main pool and bath in the hot tub. Tenants routinely are loud after quiet hours at the pools. Dont live near the pools if you enjoy some sense of peace and quiet. Security is a constant issue and anyone can freely trespass the grounds. The management has gotten better but I think their hands are tied when it comes to make and meaningful changes. I would look elsewhere if you have options."

"The grounds are well-kept and the front office are super nice and helpful. My unit is closer to the bay and the views from windows & balcony are amazing. The incidents I’ve heard about from neighbors do include the occasional stolen package and noise-wise, there is none. You can hear the waves at high tide at night which is super relaxing. I’ve felt safe at all hours since moving in. On the whole, I do not find people’s comments or experiences outside of the norm for living in a complex in a metropolitan area. Place is beautiful, the beach is right across the street. Definitely recommend."

"The apartments were built so cheaply that you can hear every single noise from your neighbors. The manager Loren, is unkind and refuses to be available to assist with questions, maintenance requests, or the constant stealing of packages. unfortunately, with how badly this place is managed I highly recommend looking elsewhere."

"This place is designed to extract as much money as possible from you. Expect a yearly rent increase, no matter what. Expect to pay for sewer, water, and trash (a mandatory monthly bill of $110.00 added to the cost of rent) Asbestos insulation is still used in all ceilings. You will be charged for professional cleaning, cleaning carpets, and blinds cleaning upon moving out no matter how clean you leave the apartment. The property management staff are pleasant enough, the property management company is terrible. It's the mission of Emerald Properties to spend as little as possible on renovations, amenities, and repairs while charging you for everything they can. The apartments are also overpriced, just shop around on shoreline and you will find asbestos free apartments with more bang for your buck as far as square footage and ocean view."

"There were many different apartments we were looking at prior to moving to Alameda. We were looking for a place closer to the beach and a place we would feel comfortable raising a family. Thankfully, we found our PERFECT apartment at 1801 Shoreline Dr Apartments. The apartment was absolutely gorgeous when we moved in. The apartment was clean, the rooms are big with plenty of storage space. The building is in a quiet area with an absolutely beautiful view and location. Right in the middle of Shoreline Drive with our own gated parking spot. What made us feel even better about the place was the staff. Myrna and Anna are the absolute best! They greeted us with open arms and helped us throughout our move-in. They had answers to all our questions, and were very thorough. When it came to some logistical things we had questions about, the maintenance team was there within LESS THAN AN HOUR to come and accommodate. The team has been very attentive throughout our stay, and we are so happy with our choice! Waking up to the beach each morning and being so close to the shopping center is obviously a plus too. Such a warm community, and everyone is so nice in this building! But, without a doubt, would not want to live anywhere else. The apartment is amazing, the team is fantastic! It is safe! It is beautiful! And my husband and I are so happy!"
