"Mychelle Knight IS THE WORSE NIGHTMARE!!!!! Run AWAY!!!! Do not rent here. It is tempting to because of the prices and how nicely renovated the property is compared to San Pablo area however the property manager is the worse person I have ever accounted in my entire 26 years of life and is not to be trusted Mychelle KNIGHT is VERY MANIPULATIVE, SHE GASLIGHTS and SHE IS A DECEITFUL LIAR. She will play sweet in your face while filling you with lies, tricks and manipulation. I was evicted from this apartment on July 6th after providing 2 months of rent on my apartment. She stole or misplaced my cat after she had sheriffs knocking on my door texting me about my animals and then later claims my cat was let go. She sent my account to collections after I had stated to her that I did not want to provide any money to her because she is untrustworthy and dishonest. Do your self and big service and find other apartments that will treat with dignity, respect and overall a great place of mind. No human being should never ever have to deal with what this property manager puts someone through. Look for another place that will see you and respect your humanity Villa Alvarado is not the place for that."

"Villa Alvarado Apartments has been my home for the past 10+ years. My review is a bit overdue, but I think time has allowed me to give an honest and fair review of my experience. It has truly been home. I've been safe, comfortable, and respected by the management and maintenance staff (I'll get to the amazing Mychelle in a minute). It's beautiful and I love coming home to my apartment. I appreciate the close and convenient access to all the resources that has made living here easy, including grocery, and public transit, both just a short walk outside my door. The onsite laundry service on each floor is super convenient. Safety is very important to me and i appreciate the after-hours on-site security service that's provided. My maintenance needs/service request are met in a timely manner. This is one of the areas Mychelle shines. I feel comfortable communicating my needs to her and she's always so patient. She's welcoming, respectful, responsive, has great follow through and she's a major part of why my stay here is as comfortable as it is. It's a huge complex, with many residents to support, and somehow, she maintains a calm and pleasant presence. I appreciate you Mychelle and the entire management team. Thank you for making this a safe and comfortable place to call home. ~AP"

"After living here for almost 6 years. I have nothing but positive experiences and good memories from this place. I am very pleased how this apartment complex run. It is well kept and clean by staff. I cannot thank Mychelle enough for all the hard work that she do. Amazing person to work with from the day my partner and I signed our lease. I recommend this place to rent, despite of the negative reviews. I cannot wait for the doggy area to finally open! keep up the good costumer service!"

"I moved here in February 2012 and the complex has continued to improve with time. The staff has always been top notch (friendly and professional), specifically Mychelle and while Marshall & Moselle are greatly missed, Jay and Daniel have stepped in to do an incredible job. It's a gated community, well kept and maintained - relatively quiet. They exceed expectations and even when it's something as mundane as a leaky sink, or a trouble some bathroom or hallway light....I come home to updated/modern components just amazing. I've recommended the complex repeatedly to anyone I know in the market for a place. Villa Alvarado is home to me and I wouldn't want it any other way."
