"I did a 7 night National Park trip in the summer to Yellowstone and Grand Teton and it was beyond perfect. Fine hotels, some exceptional dining and amazing sightseeing, all included everywhere. We had a Mercedes sprinter van seating 12 people and the best driver guide ever w ho made countless extra stops that a big bus could not do. We started in Spokane at the grand old Davenport Hotel which was a treat all in it's own right. I am doing uncommon Journeys trip to the Smoky Mountains next."

"Please beware of booking a trip with Uncommon Journeys. We took the Canadian Fall Colors tour in September, the itinerary was amazing. Unfortunately the tour was fraught with issues that all seemed to stem from the tour company not paying for the promised hotels and excursions in advance. We had to use our own credit cards for hotels when we already paid UJ. Itinerary changes caused us to lose out on 2 nights in Jasper which was an important part of the trip for us. We spent many more hours on buses than was intended or wanted. In the end we were refunded for our additional costs but it was not worth the frustration and anxiety. Wondering if you’d have a motel, or if a decent bus and driver were going to be available was tough to deal with. I feel safe in saying all of the approximately 42 on our tour will never book with this company again. From what Ive been able to determine they did some great tours in the past, but appears financial difficulties are plaguing them. It is not worth taking a chance with your time or dollars."

"As a longtime travel agent we have worked with operators all over the world. Our clients asked us if we could book with Uncommon Journeys and take care of all details. The company did seem somewhat slow in their organization, but we managed to eventually get the needed documentation for the trip. However, the commission payment they confirmed in writing on their invoice of June last year was never paid. We even mailed them a pre-paid envelop! We wonder if they deal the same way with other people they work with. Update------ * After our review and complaints the Chairman of Uncommon Journeys apologized and mentioned that he himself and several people in his company have been and are battling with Covid. However, he also mentioned that it was not an excuse and the payment should have been made. We have now received payment plus an extra $100 for the inconvenience. Everyone has a problem occasionally. Perhaps it is worth giving their product another chance!"
