"Kaiser Pharmacies and their ordering system have many issues and most are related to how the pharmacies are being managed and the policies put in place. Kaiser in the last couple of years has reduced pharmacy staffing and hours of operation while trying to force patients to order prescriptions via postal mail. I have several prescriptions that require in-person pick up. I typically use the Lincoln (Dresden) Kaiser Pharmacy and have to go there monthly for these medications. It is almost never that these pick ups go smooth. I am forced to stand in line for a long time and forced to be there since the prescriptions can’t be sent via mail. I have had problems with staff flat out lying to me, for example that an order would be processed and mailed to my house when it wasn’t. I have had problems with the Kaiser Pharmacies in general and this location either trying to get me to take medication that I can’t or changing or refusing to refill medications overriding my doctor’s prescription or directions. My doctor will later tell me it is due to “Kaiser Policy”. An example of this (that I can share) is, I can’t take statins, yet I get a telephone call from the pharmacy telling me I should be taking them or have a consult to “discuss the issue”. Obviously, someone isn’t checking my medical record. I had another issue where I had to “have a consult” because I hadn’t refilled a medication in a while. I had stopped switched medications and then started to take the same medication under my doctor’s advice, they didn’t know this, again clueless. I think their main concern was that they wanted to remove the medicine from my available medications list. I have had problems with medication that was supposed to be ready and wasn’t, for example I had ordered a prescription several days in advanced, only to find out that prescription wasn’t ready. When asked, why, I was told that the pharmacy takes 48 to 72 hours to process refills and that there was still four hours until the 72 hours was up. This was on Friday and they were closing in two hours, so I waited while the prescription was filled. Many times I will have to make multiple trips, due to medication shortages. I will have to pick up one medication, but another will be delayed or not filled due to the pharmacy being out of a particular medicine. I will get the medicine that is ready and have to return the next day or in couple of days. This pharmacy is marginally better than the others, so I tend to use it, but too many problems with Kaiser. I have been a member 30+ years and this is the worst I have seen it. I feel sorry for the staff because these issues make their job that much harder. I could go on, but won’t."

"Im going to change a review I recently posted. I had a not so good experience here. Within 24 hours Kevin (A manager for Kaiser) saw my concerns and got in touch with my mom right away. Although he wasn’t the cause of the issue he apologized and made it right. This man is the epitome of customer service. I probably should have reached out before making a public complaint. It seems that management does care and in the future if I have an issue I’ll reach out to them. Lesson learned and complaint retracted. Thank you Kevin!"
"3:52pm on 9/1 The female pharmacist wouldn’t give me her name after I called 3 times and hung up the phone on me. She doesn’t want a formal complaint against her after she went against the doctor order. Then she discriminated my wife by saying your to young to get this medication and made her wait hours. The doctor even called and said sorry. She crazy!!!!"
"When picking up two new prescriptions with potentially serious side effects I was not offered a consult. A few days later, I had to return and heard three people who had just paid for a prescription and the transaction was finished ask if they could get a consult. I thought consults were standard practice with new prescriptions, but apparently not anymore with Kaiser."
