"Awesome wait staff. Attentive and nice. Cool variety of food. We got the sobu hot dog which was good and fun. The salmon sushi was very fresh. My friend got the curry and loved it. We were so full that we couldn't eat dessert but it looked good!"
"This place was incredible! Really good fish for way out here. Loved the happy hour beers and snacks! Great cod sandwich!"
"I have been here twice, once in 2017 and once a week ago (2024), and I know that their Tonkatsu has remained the same since it looks exactly the same as it did 7 years ago. Regardless, I had a good experience here overall, and I would recommend it to people if they ask about Japanese food within the Twin Cities. For the agedashi tofu, our server poured the liquid after the tofu was brought to our table, which was the first time I have seen it done that way in the Twin Cities. The tonkatsu contained a good amount of rice and meat which was great, but the "potato salad" was bland, which I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be the case. Having some cucumbers and grape tomatoes was good for me, but I still wasn't sure if that was normal. Regardless, I liked it. Other than those, I enjoyed the ramen and the chicken kara.age as well. They were as good as I imagined they would be. In terms of the nigiri and maki rolls, I thought they were overpriced and there were not enough to fill up my friend's stomach. She had to order additional rolls to ensure that she could get a decent amount of food to be full. Our bill accumulated quickly and ended up being beyond what we had expected. One thing I would also mention is that Kyatchi is located in a good location that makes it very convenient for those in the King Field area to go there, including walking. If people ask me to recommend 5 Japanese restaurants in the Twin Cities, then I would mention this establishment."
"Good sushi and good service! There's plenty of other dishes to try like ramen, rice toppings, and a variety of drinks. For kids they even have ramune on top of your regular soda selection; Cool ambiance with a Japanese baseball theme. Worth it for a date or even a group dinner!"
"Quiet little joint with delicious sushi, rolls, and surprisingly, delicious hotdogs. Lots of beer and sake options. Can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu."
