Sendik's Fresh2GO Marquette

"I wanted to cook a Turkey for my boyfriend and I, so we could have a little early Thanksgiving feast. I didn’t plan at all for the Turkey (usually you have to order 48 hours in advance) and had a friend connect me with the store manager, Meredith. She said she wasn’t sure how likely it was to get a Turkey the next morning (about a 12 hour turnaround time) and it was completely warranted and understandable. The next morning Meredith let’s me know she was able to get the Turkey to Sendik’s THAT MORNING! I just want to say to whoever hired Meredith, you made an amazing choice hiring her as a store director! She went above and beyond for this request and you can tell she genuinely cares about the customers and well being of this store. I will always remember making my first Turkey and the immense amount of effort that was put into making this happen. Thank you Meredith and I will continue to be a happy Sendik’s shopper."

"So Sendik's used to be one of the better stores but not the one on 16th near Marquette..my 81 year-old mother thought she was buying strawberry jam but it was rasberry because they stocked it in the wrong spot and when I went to return these jars of jam that cost more than $5 per jar they said they can't do returns... All they have to do is throw the merchandise out and refund the money... Their policy makes no sense. So now I will make sure I tell everyone not to shop Sendik's. During this time of crisis they should have more compassion on how tight money is!"

"Price for fresh food is unreasonable and I found some vegetables&fruit not fresh at all. I guess their strategy is overprice everything because they can since Marquette is basically a food desert. But it's still nice to have a grocery store on campus. the food selection includes bread&milk&beer&fast food etc. not a bad place if you need to grab a quick bite. Attention: check the expiration date on all the packages of chips&cookies because a lot of them are already expired"

"It is 9:01 pm right now I was in the store at 8:58 ready to check out and he turned me away and said sorry ma’am it’s too late to buy wine... If I were to go to any other liquor store they would have not turned me away. Next time buddy learn the state laws it wasn’t even 9 yet. You just lost business."

"It's small and cute but for what it is it's super nice. Large liquor/beer selection. Salad Bar. Ramen/Sushi station. Organic options. Fresh stuff as well as good quality frozen goods. You're not going to find specialty stuff here but it does have quite the selection, very well kept, very clean, very friendly First visit was very worth the walk."
