Allison Kaup is a Clinical Neuropsychologist located at 6010 Hidden Valley Road, Carlsbad, California. Dr. Kaup received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Iowa and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in neuropsychology from the San Diego State University / University of California San Diego Joint Doctoral Program. She completed her postdoctoral training with the Mental Illness Research Education and Clinical Center Fellowship in Dementia at the San Francisco VA Health Care System / University of California San Francisco.

Before joining the Neurology Center of Southern California, Dr. Kaup worked as a Clinical Research Psychologist and Staff Clinical Neuropsychologist at the San Francisco VA Health Care System. She has published numerous research articles on topics such as cognitive and brain aging, traumatic brain injury, and mental health conditions in older adults. Dr. Kaup is a member of the American Psychological Association, International Neuropsychological Society, and the Alzheimer’s Association International Society to Advance Alzheimer’s Research and Treatment.

With her extensive training and experience in neuropsychology, Dr. Kaup is dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care for her patients.
