Reviews of Walmart Pharmacy
"This pharmacy is the best!! They always go above and beyond. I have needed to transfer medication and they helped me through the process being kind the whole time. I have had the hospital call in medications that needed to be mixed in a way they could not and they helped me find some where that could help. Also, any time my husband or I go to pick up medicine for my daughter they are always friendly even greeting us by name. I have been waiting in line and had conversations where people were bragging on how helpful the Walmart Pharmacy was for them. They are always fast with getting what you need. Highly recommend!"
"They have been very helpful with my Medications and reminding me of flu, shingles etc shots."
"Even if it's convenient, avoid it. Just don't do it to yourself. Maybe if it's a one time script, and you're going to count and check to make sure everything is right, it's worth a risk, but honestly I would go anywhere else. They have officially lost me. I've held on through medication errors, partial refill mistakes, and just general issues, because of the convenience. Then they went over the line and contacted my physician with flat out lies about me as a person. I'm looking into whether or not the action violated HIPAA because I'm left here crying. Thankfully, my doctor was as confused as I was because the actions are unlike anything I would ever do. It doesn't change the fact that I had to spend my appointment explaining what the issues really were, and that I can't know if she's 100% sure I didn't do these awful things. Basically, I now need a new pharmacy and maybe a new doctor, and I can't stop crying."
"Very poor service! Usually: One Pharmacist + one technician on duty + 10 minutes ++ wait = one miserable experience!!! See pics! Avoid this pharmacy! Very rude, confused and unprofessional pharmacists and technicians! Pharmacists and technicians come and go all the time here , very high employee turnover, very bad management here. Very long phone hold time and very bad communication with them, you often wait on hold 10-15 minutes and/or get disconnected. Pharmacy is often out of stock on medications forcing you to do several trips to get all your medications. They're always short staffed. See pics! They only get business because they're inside Walmart. Corporate office don't care because they don't lose money because of Walmart store shopper volume."
"The only consistency with the pharmacy, is their utterly lack of service and compassion. You can put your medications on automatic refill, but don't expect them to ever actually fill your prescriptions automatically. They won't. Run out of refills? They're not going to call your doctor to arrange for a refill, even if you ask them to via the automated system. You can select to pick up scripts the following day, but rarely are the medications actually ready. Then there are the times that this pharmacy legitimately endangers patients. I was told my antibiotics would be ready in 15 minutes. I went shopping, came back, and was told it would be another 15 minutes. Fine, except I'm tired now, so I sit and wait. After almost half an hour, they're still not done, so I leave. Too sick to go back, a friend goes, and is told the same thing...wait 15 minutes. At this point they're closing in 45 minutes, but he waits dutifully. After 15 minutes he asks, and they again, state 15 minutes. At this point we've spent well over an hour, combined, waiting for this medication. He finally asks why it isn't ready, and someone goes to check...they don't even have it in stock. Did they get it the next day? No, because they never bothered to even check, and now it was too late to order it. Worse? They wouldn't give me my script back to attempt and get it filled at another location. Went through the same hassle the next day, after being assured they would actually be able to get it after 3pm, only to find out nope, they couldn't. I went 48 hours, with a bacterial gut infection, because this pharmacy kept promising me my medication. Had I known they wouldn't have it for so long, I'd have gone to the ER or urgent care to get another script. This isn't a new problem for them, either. Routinely they fail to fill drugs on time, drugs that patients need to literally survive. As someone who relies on seizure medication to keep me alive, it's terrifying that my pharmacy has such a lack of care. There are a few employees who actually seem to have a heart, but they're few at far between. Even those employees seem to be beaten down by the nature of this particularly pharmacy. Several of the technicians clearly have no clue what they're doing, and zero desire to work with people in general. After yet another month of worrying over whether or not I'm going to have to go to the ER or urgent care JUST to get medication to stay alive, I'm done with them. I'll gladly switch to another pharmacy, even if it means choosing a pharmacy that I can't walk to. I can't drive, but catching a ride with friends is preferable to dealing with these people any longer. If you only need a medication for a short-term reason, no refills, then *maybe* settle for this place if you're already going to be in the store. Just make sure you watch them check to see if they have your medication in stock, before you walk away. Once they have your script, you're never getting it back, whether they have the medication or not."
