Pick n Save

"The store is scheduled to open at 6am. I show up today, Friday 02.16.2024 at 6:10am and the store is dark. There was roughly a dozen people, waiting by the doors (out of respect for their digital privacy, I did not include them in my photos). The parking lot was disgusting, trash cans overflowing, carts all in the lot, and you can see trash inside on the store floor. I called the store at about 6:15 and can hear the intercom saying "There's a call holding for customer service." (or something similar) Another gentleman waiting also was trying to call someone. A security guard let us know he was the only one there and he was waiting for someone to come and open a self checkout register. What the what?! ONLY ONE THERE? No cashiers, no one for bakery, no one for deli, no one for any other department and you open at 6? ALL of this is a result of poor management. Do you need me to come in and teach you how to run the place? First, if you are to be open at 6am make sure you have employees scheduled to start at least an hour prior. And ensure you have several coming on in case anyone is running late. Second, you clean up the night before - sweep, empty trash, get carts out of the parking lot. This sets the tone for the next day; always set yourself up for success. I personally don't want to go grocery shopping in a landfill and to accept this as normal is little more than rodent mentality. Third, when you are on the clock you are NOT on your phone, it shouldn't even be on your person. Especially when you have people checking out. They are there spending their hard earned money on your ridiculously priced items. Be grateful and courteous. This happens at all other Pick n Saves, so thought I'd address that here too. Pick n Save has went from bad to worse over the years. After what I have seen today, it should be shut down. I am not sure if the store ever opened, it was too cold for me to hang around and find out. Absolutely ridiculous."

"I am a customer that frequents this Pick n Save (PnS) weekly... This PnS is not the closest to my home. But I enjoy the customer service from the employees from the deli to the cashiers to the ones that bring in the carts. I also wanted to note that the supervisor/ manager Doris is great! She's very helpful, she gets things done(!!). She shows great leadership, leading by example by filling in where and when needed. Best of all, customers and employees respond well to her. Thank you - keep up the great work."

"Today I came up short by 38 cents buying just two items... apparently my math skills weren't all that great. Literally buying two items with change because I don't get paid until tomorrow. My account had that amount in there, but for whatever reason, it wasn't accepting my card. The cashier went and spoke with her manager, who then allowed her to finish cashing me out. I will definitely be in there tomorrow paying it back plus some extra to help the next person who is short and just one day short of payday!! Thank you for your kindness over such a short amount of cash. You definitely made my day better after a really hard day at work!!"

"Its my local store so I have used it a lot. But that said the store is often dirty, they are often out of stock and a lot of the staff seem to not care (not all of them, some of them are nice). But the food here is often MOLDY. At least once every trip I find something rotten and moldy. Last night I found two full size loaves of bread covered in mold, I left them at the customer service desk as there was literally no staff member to hand them to other than the ONE cashier and she obviously was busy with a long queue. TLDR rotted food, dirty store and understaffed and soso employees."

"Improvement made to this store made this place so much better. They have a wider variety of products and it looks a lot organized. My only complaint is the light is most pick n saves aren't well lit like the metro market branch. Never have any issue with the check out line here. They're always pretty efficient."
