Reviews of Spring Mountain Apartments
"One of the worrrrrrssst place ive ever in my entire life have i ever had an experience if u got the mindset to deal with corrupted management by all mean go ahead anywere elese is better than SPRING MOUNTAIN APARTMENTS"
"I lived here 6 years ago. there were constant bug infestations around every month or two. when i lived there there were fairly good office people and i had made a bunch of friends. I liked the playground and pool but everything was dirty and we had to have bug spray bombs every month. this part is corning in general but there were so many gunshots around me ( at the time i was 4-6 years old and i am 10 now) i liked the walk-in closets and how big the rooms were but other than that it was pretty bad"
"We lost everything in the Camp Fire and they opened up the apartments that weren't 100% so we could have somewhere to live. That was very nice and it did give us a place to live for 3 years. However it was horrible we had cockroaches in the second apartment we moved into and would do the work to have the exterminator come in and spray but since the people above us and next to us wouldn't let them spray they never went away. We would bomb our apartment in between. We bombed it 11 times and they sprayed 7 times in the 2 1/2 years we were in that place. So if you don't mind cockroaches go for it if not run as fast as you can"
"Terrible beyond reckoning. I had a horrible experience when they took over my complex many years ago, then moved into a new apartment a couple years ago, only finding out after living there almost a month that it was run by the same idiots whose lack of foresight ended up with my car being stolen, the apartment being flooded by a water heater, and said water heater flooding leading to my owing about $2,000 in damages despite reporting it quickly. If your manager is Pacific Living Properties, stay away. They care even less about their customers than most slum lords. Since this is specifically about Spring Mountain, let me point out that there were several defects noted in the initial walkthrough that were ignored completely. My upstairs neighbors would throw their cigarette butts down from their porches and we would get blamed for the mess. Washing machines were regularly broken with NO indication of this and the card reader (keep in mind you can't just use money like real people) would still charge you for a wash even if it didn't work. I put a sign up a couple times and it was taken down. Guess they actually enjoy their customers getting screwed out of money. There are some positives, but they have nothing to do with the management. The pet-friendly acceptance means there were several neighbors with friendly dogs walking around, the pool, when it wasn't closed because some brat decided to take a dump in it, was decent, and the actual on-site staff was usually pretty nice. I felt bad for them, to be honest. They had to apologize profusely again and again for the terrible decisions of Pacific Living. Never take your anger out on the good people who are just trying to earn a living doing the local management for Pacific Living's hellholes. Unfortunately, in terms of apartments in Corning, there really aren't any choices. It's know as "the barracks" at Rolling Hills because so many employees have no other real options. They're always musty, and amenities are a complete crap-shoot. If you have choices, pick another one, and that goes for ALL Pacific Living properties."
"Absolutely the worst!! Allow me to explain why: 1. During our move in inspection I noticed the apartment smelled strange. They said it was from the paint. But it smelled like some sort of deodorizer. After a few hours of being in there my husband and I both had headaches from the (very) strong cigarette smell. Sense I was was 7 months pregnant we decided that was not healthy so we talked to the office, they told us we were out of luck (essentially) and we spend almost $200 on air purifiers to try and get the air clean before our baby was born. 2. Also during the move in inspection we noted there were things broken/missing and were told they would be fixed. A week went by and we reminded them of the issues. Several weeks went by and again I reminded them. Months later I gave up and noted them on our move out inspection. 3. The apartment complex looks nothing like the pictures. It is dirty and people leave crap everywhere. Things are broken, trash is thrown, and grocery carts left daily. We complained to the office about music, drugs, etc and nothing was ever done. 4. The month before we moved out I called and asked how much I owed (because we moved out mid-month) and I was told nothing because I had over paid. Cool, I thought. Til a month later we never received our deposit back. When I called and asked why, I was told "oh I must have looked at the wrong month". Really? Yes. These are the idiots they have in their office; they don't even know what month to bill people for. The complex is run down and no matter how many times they say "under new management" NOTHING changes or improves!!!"
