"We sent our son to SCBH the beginning of Jan 2024. He has been to several rehabs in the past. SCBH is by far the best place he has ever been. SCBH really cares. Toni his case manager was outstanding. I have never meet people that care as much as Toni and Rob. This will always be my first recommendation to anyone that need help."
"This place is absolutely phenomenal. Out of all the treatment centers I’ve been to, this is by far the beat. Accommodations-Admissions: My process of getting accepted into the program was very easy and streamlined, I was an import from Indiana and needed travel accommodations from Indiana to California. This process was seamless once them and my insurance company verified and provided a way for me to get there. Once I arrived I was greeted by friendly staff and transported to the U where the admission process continued take place where all my needs were met. Programming: Programming is the best programming I’ve been to thus far. It has a diverse range of therapists and group leaders that ensure material doesn’t feel too recycled and mundane. They do their best to keep things fresh and not so repetitive. Keep in mind you do have your home group that you go to almost every day and for that you will have a designated therapist, however that’s just two segments of 45 minutes. Oh yeah speaking of timing, the time frame allowed for group sessions are perfect, 45 minute segments is just enough time to feel invested but also that’s a good quitting time of information overload. They really thought that through. Also the classes are mixed so you have a good opportunity to socialize with others in the program and eventually you’ll get the opportunity to meet everyone. Expenses/Groceries etc.: This is where this program really shines. They give you weekly grocery cards so you won’t starve to death. At the time they were giving $65/week for the duration of your stay, (Subject to change at any time) which was really appreciated. For the most part you won’t have to go too deep into your pockets just to live life. Depending upon your insurance housing could be covered at no cost to you which is a huge blessing. Speaking of housing… Housing: The house I stayed in was a South Coast which was recently purchased and all the bells and whistles came included. A beautiful house, well over 1 million dollars was quite the pleasure to live in. I even had my own personal bathroom with my own sliding doors to the backyard which had its own half court basketball court. Two living rooms, each room had a max of 2 roommates per room. The beds were twin size and does take some getting used to if you’re a big guy, but some of them are memory foam, so if you’re lucky, sweet dreams are ahead. (I included pictures of the sober living and the surrounding environment). In addition to ensuring your stay is comfortable, they provide transportation to and from local meeting and events at no cost to you! Activities: What I love about south coast is that they are big in building a sober network, they encourage you to get involved as much as possible, and have plenty of activities to get you involved into. Every Friday for the PHP program they take you to an outing whether it’s bowling, zip lining, going to the movies and events as such, you won’t be bored as you’ll have plenty to do. Lifelines is a cool event to attend and has played a pivotal role in my recovery which is every Friday night. There are tons of meetings that are local and you won’t have any problems connecting to sober peers. Staff/Therapist/Nurses: All exceptional, the nursing staff really shines here. Everyone really did a fantastic job of ensuring my safety and my experience was as comfortable as possible. Everyone on my team truly did care and it showed through their work ethic. Also I love that I had to come out of nothing to refill prescriptions, all my copays were billed directly to my insurance, again more money in your pocket. There’s also a guy there,Vinny, who pours his heart and soul to ensure the clients there have the best chance at staying sober. Here at South Coast it’s all hands on deck. Whether it’s your first time in recovery or if you’re a repeat offender such as myself, one thing for sure, Southcoast provides you the tools to be successful and reintroduce yourself back to you! Take a chance on yourself, we’re risk takers, why not take one that can save tour life."
"South Coast Behavioral Health is a true God send. The program itself is led by an incredible team of professionals with outstanding levels of experience and wisdom, all of whom have unique and insightful ways to connect with their clients. The most helpful department for me was operations, led by Vinny, a man who bends over backwards on a consistent basis with the sole purpose of ensuring everyone a safe and successful program. His team is stocked full of remarkable and genuine individuals possessing a plethora of skills needed to assist all clients in their recovery. A special shoutout to miss T, Lucy, CJ and Rob and Taylor. I promise, from the moment you hear your first “SOUTH COAST” you will realize you’re home."
"Great facility. Knowledgeable and helpful staff, and facilitators. Nicole was a great case manager. Definitely made the recovery process easier than it could have been"
