"This shop takes trees that need to be removed from urban areas, such as a cherished family tree that split in a severe storm, and expertly processes the wood into some of the finest quality wood I've ever seen. All of the wood is processed by a band saw due to the potential of urban trees having debris inside. Many of the dimensions are unique, and they carry common and rare types of wood alike. The wood is also very reasonably-priced, given it's quality and labor intensive processing method. I purchased some beautiful wood from here that was light colored like oak, but had stunning blue-purple streaks throughout the inside. I've never seen anything like it before. They sell wood that's perfect for those who work with hand tools, as the store's wood sourcing philosophy matches the hand-crafted vibe super well. It's also the perfect place to get very large slabs of wood for table projects. Finally, if you have a cherished tree that you need to remove, call them up. Imagine how special it would be to have the tree live on as a table in your home. They also have a few pieces of furniture for sale that are extremely impressive quality. I attached a few pictures of the type of furniture you can find here. The furniture is expensive, but you'd be very hard-pressed to find anything that's crafted more finely, and I'm saying that as a hand-tool woodworker myself."

"One of my favorite businesses in the woodworking space. Every time I have stopped in over the past 5 years, regardless of who I've interacted with, I've been met by a talented & honest professional dedicated to the craft. This is my preferred source for sustainably harvested hardwood boards and slabs. I can't speak to their custom furniture, as I have never ordered any, but I am sure that they are as wonderful to order furniture from as they are to buy hardwood boards and slabs from. You should, however, call in advance to ascertain the availability and price of certain in demand domestic hardwoods like hard maple and walnut. Sourcing these logs in a sustainable way can be difficult. They do their best though, and I appreciate them all the more for it."

"Stopped by on my way home to Alabama to purchase wood for my husband to use in his shop. I'm not very knowledgeable about how wood is measured, species, etc. The gentleman (forgot his name) who helped me was patient, professional, very knowledgeable, and helped me find a variety of wood to purchase. Their prices, quality, and service are all outstanding. They even cut the boards to fit in my SUV. Next time I travel back to the area, I'll be stopping by again. If you need ANYTHING custom made, this place does AMAZING work. When I first arrived, I went into their showroom and looked at all the wonderful pieces they've created.
