"Was experiencing substantial allergy symptoms and needed a steroid shot. Dr. Abie H. Mendelsohn came in the room for all of 3 minutes and wrote a script for antibiotics for an infection I didn’t have and antihistamine. HE NEVER EXAMINED ME. He told me they don’t give steroid shots, which work amazing by the way, and segued instead to the allergy testing - where they make their money - $450 just for the testing alone - and that’s not the end of the charges. He told me he could “cure” my allergies once and for all, which is medically impossible. Listen, if someone is experiencing chronic allergy symptoms all the time and they have no idea what they’re allergic to, then it makes sense to get tested and work with an ENT on a treatment plan to reduce symptoms long term. But I have allergy symptoms to mold, pollen and cedar every couple of years - and I told him this. I didn’t need testing - I already know what I’m allergic to. Went to Carbon Health urgent clinic after was seen, EXAMINED and was administered a shot of dexamethasone - and in 4 hours my allergy symptoms were reduced 99% - LIKE I TOLD HIM IT WOULD."

"i was referred here by my medical provider as in, it wasnt my choice to be a patient here..Inwent where they told me to go one day a girl named Cassie Conway came in and my entire appointment i was in the lobby waiting right, So, this women from Corona Del Mar was just visiting Dr Ahmed Maki as a friend not as a patient hence she is a Orange County resident, you cannot be a out of county patient here unless your a LA County resident. Cassie Conway decided to start desrespecting me from behind the desk where nurses discuss personal matters about patients. She was talking to the nurses 1 of which is my best friend. She was telling the employees how she does not like me at all living in Los Angeles and that I need to leave. Then saying, I need to go away, making disrespectful remarks about my race. Mind you I have never met her and dont know her, but the audacity when I am sitting right there. Nonetheless, my phone was on record and i have 10 minutes worth of video audio of her disrespecting me. Funny my Dr Ahmed Maki is a Muslim man allowing his friends to disrespect me for no reason. I wonder what caused Dr Ahmed Maki to allow this unprofessional conduct to happen and its always a friend of his. Jewish doctors dont treat me like this btw! He keeps inviting so many friends here that harass me so bad. Luckily I had made friends with a Nurse here and she informs whenever my name is brought up."

"Still waiting for a call back with my actual medication. Waste of time and lack of urgency in patient care. They really don’t care about you… been sick for over a week and did not have my any medication sent me home to “rest” and wait for test results. Had to call and call and call just to get test results and even with the results no one cared to actually provide me a prescription to get better."

"Great surgical experience, subpar administrative experience. Abie Mendelsohn, Jessie Garcia and their surgical team are fantastic! They were happy to answer all my pre-op questions, had great "bedside manner" and the surgical experience was good. However, my experience with the LA ENT admin staff was poor. They misgendered me every time we spoke, even though they had the correct legal and medical gender info on my chart. It was also very hard to get through to anyone for post-operative care - telephone waiting times were always an hour or more. There does not appear to be a patient care coordinator for LA ENT either."
