"I just wanted to drop in to share a little about my experiences with One Medical today. I was assigned to Dr. Catherine Nguyen by my health care provider. I’ve been trying to schedule an appointment for over two months. They would not answer the phone or return my voicemails. Today I decided to schedule an appointment in person. Even though she accepted me as a patient (her name and phone number printed on my insurrance card) I was told I need to sign into your online portal and pay a $199 membership before I could schedule an appointment. I would be happy to pay my copay and give them any information they need to work with my insurrance, but a doctors office playing gatekeeper with $199 to be seen seems unethical to me. Congrats on making the world a better place…"

"They should call it FIVE Medical, as they are 5+ stars!! Great service. I see most of the bad reviews here are complaining about the annual fee because they don't understand how one medical works. I have been with One Medical for 10+ years and the annual fee is a FANTASTIC investment. I have always been seen EXACTLY on time for EVERY doctor appointment at EVERY location. How many other doctor's offices can you say that for? Also that annual fee covers a lot of extra services and fantastic customer service (appointments, quick prescription refills, super easy labs, virtual care, etc). I've never not been able to make a same-day appt in a pinch (may have to go to another local location). It feels like a whole medical army has my back. Specific to the Berkeley location, I have been seeing Jess Pinder for my primary care for several years now and he is fantastic. I started seeing him in one of the SF offices and since he transferred to Berkeley when it opened, I have been commuting over the bridge to see him. They also support zoom appointments which has been a huge time saver as well. 10/10 highly recommend."

"I decided to use them because they accept my really awful insurance. They almost never have appointment times I can make and they don't have walk in/urgent care kinds of services. If I'm sick, waiting a week to see someone isn't ideal. But most importantly, they are completely incompetent and have really screwed me over. The last three months I've been really sick on and off. Firstly, I asked for appointments in Berkeley, but they booked me in Oakland which I found out when I showed up in Berkeley. I had to cancel work and come back later that day. They took throat cultures which were thrown out because the testing material was expired. They couldn't figure out what was wrong with me. A few weeks later, it got so bad, I ended up leaving work, going to an urgent care, spending a lot of money, only to find out I have really advanced bronchitis. The doctor at the urgent care was surprised something so common and obvious was missed at one medical. And he didn't have to run any tests, he could just tell by my symptoms. It probably wouldn't have gotten this advanced had one medical just done their job right the first time. Now I've missed a lot of work because I've been feeling so bad for so long, have to miss more, and have a medical bill to pay thanks to one medical's incompetence. I'm glad I got the care I needed, but it wasn't at one medical."

"One Medical redefines the experience of seeing your doctor in an amazingly positive way. Everything runs so smoothly, I can't remember a single time my doctor didn't take me right at the start of my appointment, and when you add everything the OneMedical app brings to the table (most notably, on demand video consultations with nurse practitioners), I'd give this place 10 stars if I could! (Shout out to Dr. Alpert!)"

"So far so good. Only had history taken, then lab work, waiting for a physical once Debra Goettsch PA gets my lab and history work. Happy with the reception staff, phlebotomist, my first encounter with the Physician's Assistant I arbitrarily chose, the look and feel of the office, the efficiency and helpfulness of everyone. Seems like a viable alternative to the usual sausage factory that most doctor's offices have become, in servitude to health insurance corporations. Hope to say mo' betta later...."
