"I blame this hospital for my mother's death. For a year, she kept going in, telling them that she had such bad pain that she couldn't eat. They kept sending her home, telling her it was all due to a hernia that she had. Wouldn't even take the time to check it out. None of her symptoms could be explained by a simple hiatal hernia. Turns out she had cancer. By the time they eventually bothered to look, it was already stage 4. It was already in her brain. By that time she was so bad, she needed a feeding tube. While cutting her open to put in the tube, they left a plastic bag inside of her. The experience destroyed her. Any sense of hope she had was gone. She called me multiple times, pleading with me to let her come home. When finally home, I saw what they had done to her. The multiple wounds on her stomach from the botched surgeries looked like something out of a horror film. Her mental state was grim. Nobody could talk her into going back for treatment. She chose to die at home rather than spend another minute in this hospital. One star doesn't begin to express my feelings about the incompetence of this hospital. Edit: I've slightly modified the language in my review after receiving a threatening email from Yelp implying that I may be sued by this hospital. If only I could leave negative stars."

"I took someone for cancer surgery. I have never been to a hospital that had such a clueless staff. Was sent to the wrong place by staff for the surgery intake. Turns out the correct room was 5 feet from the person who misdirected me, who was the only staff present to ask. After the patient signed in for breast cancer surgery, I asked what time I should return for pick up. I was told “Cataract surgery doesn’t take that long.” She was not here for cataract surgery! I returned to pick up the patient where I had dropped her off. The only person inside told me they were closed and go to the main hospital.” I asked her to call over. She said she didn’t have a phone. Went to hospital. Nobody knew where I was to go. Went back to surgery center. Finally found the patient where I went the first time. Of course I’m driving each way because I’m picking up a surgery patient. What bothered me most was the total lack of concern by nurses. I don’t need an apology, but I needed to report the absolute lack of communication skills everybody I talked to.had, So it will get corrected and the people behind me don’t have to go though this mess. But hit was met with apathy. Of the 5 people I talked to at this hospital, not one was able to give correct directions. The patient had the insurance to go anywhere. She wanted the first available. Now I see why Woodland Memorial-Dignity Health was easier to get into. I only hope the surgeons are more competent than the people who run this hospital."
