"As soon as I came into this appointment at 1220pm. Was told Dr will be running late. And that was almost hour ago. Still no Dr calling me in. Just so you know...."
"If I could give S & L Medical (San Diego) zero stars I would! Nothing about this facility made me feel as if I was going to a reputable doctors office. It was nasty, dirty, and smelled of urine. The staff appeared to have zero concern about you, or your reason for being there. I became a little concerned when the gentleman before me walked out of the office very angry and upset. Once I was called back the assistant answered her cell phone several times while doing my vital signs and other tests. The nightmare began once I was called into the exam room. I have never been so uncomfortable and felt so violated in my life! Before my exam Dr.Tran (not sure that she was a real doctor) stated that she had no interest in my medical history. What reputable Provider tells you that they are not interested in your medical history? She instructed me to move and bend a certain way, but when I informed her that I couldn’t she proceeded to push and pull on me until I was in severe pain. When the exam ended I was in tears. She could care less. She told me to have a seat outside the exam room and wait for x-rays. The X-ray tech wanted me to lay on a table. I informed him that couldn’t because of the pain. He said to do it anyway. When I asked if I could just stand like I normally do he said, “we don’t have that fancy equipment here”. I have worked in the medical field for over thirty plus years! I know and have heard from reputable providers how this all works. I just never thought that I would be put in a situation to experience such unprofessional behavior. I have reached out to the Social Security Administration three times to voice my complaints, but at this time I have not received any responses. Shame on all involved for sending patients to this deplorable facility."
"Was sent for an Ortho evaluation by SSA. I brought MRI reports for most of my health issues. She denied interest in them telling me she doesn't need them Social Security has them do reports a certain way. I suggested it was irresponsible and unprofessional to write a medical report after denying evidence of pertinent information. The medical board needs to get involved in this practice. Btw, SSA also sent me here for a mental status exam. I showed up and they were closed. Another patient was there being stood up as well. A one stop shop for all medical specialties with unqualified doctors. SMH."
"Dr Tran pretty much called me a liar to my face. The 2 stars are only for the 2 staff that were good to me. I have been suffering from chronic major back pain for years. She tells me from her 10 minute evaluation that one of the conditions I have is not consistent with that. Are you kidding me! I have hundreds of pages of medical records. Just put it in your notes, and don't accuse patients of lying. She wasn't nice to me at all. Made me feel worse! This appointment caused me an unnecessary panic attack. Shame on you SSA for using this unprofessional doctor!"
"I read all these reviews before going to my appointment and they terrified me. I expected the worst from that place. However, there's no way I can give them anything less than 5 stars. While I agree the building needs some TLC, this is what they can provide for the money the government pays them so it's SSA's fault. The staff seemed nice. They greeted me at the door and everyone was pleasant. I waited an hour to be seen but the SSA scheduled two appointments at the same time so I can't blame them for that either. They apologized for the wait and said someone else was scheduled the same time I was. The therapist was professional and pleasant. I guess he did what he was paid to do. I don't expect him to say anything that would help my case because in reality, he knows nothing about me. He was paid to talk to me for a few minutes so how can he honestly make an educated decision about my condition? It's the SSA's fault."
