"Regarding my recent ER visit to Redlands Community Hospital. March 11 2024 There should be a card that has a stamp for every Dr who a patient talks to about each step in their care process. Oversight both directions. This way the patient knows who is making specific decisions about your specific aspects of care. The initial intake staff were lacking in antipathy about someone in pain and throwing up. The first Dr was clear and professional. However, after the change of the staffing at 3 am , there were a number of disheartening trends in the level of professionalism of non MD staff. During the transfer from one group to the other, there was no introductions to a new provider. I was not informed that the " 10 minute" change over to new staff would result in a 4 hour wait for a CT scan to be completed after they told me 10 minutes. ..this after waiting 2 hours. The second shift staff had no sense that all their talking loud at 3 am, with patients who may be trying to rest, might merit some re-think. In all, three nurses were gossiping and were not even checking in to introduce themselves or see if I would like to be involved in the discussion about the next steps of my care. I didn't even know who was assigned for me to inquire about next steps. The very "friendly" mr D who put in my IV prior to the shift change didn't get the first one right. I had suggested I was not great about getting needles and didn't need any extra holes. I was not happy he had to try again in my left arm. Both have alot of bruising still. All in all, not a good experience. Then having been told it would be 10 minutes after the IV was in, it took another 3 hours. I would appreciate someone from the ER management team to contact me. We shall see Our Redlands Community Healthcare situation at the ER and lack of professionalism at Redlands Hospital is gone way below prior standards. I am extremely familiar with the impact that COVID has had on the loss of our prior hospital ER protocols and the challenges we face in enticing the next generation of medical support staff to stay in this industry. I cannot imagine if the quality of service, doesn't improve during this generation, how disheartened these incoming medical providers will feel, when they are 60+ and being treated by our next, under trained, even less considerate generation of medical staff. We should be moving forward not backwards."
"The RNs are not professional, don’t take your phobias of needles or comfort into consideration. It’s very slow service and very low staff… They said I didn’t have anything wrong with my gallbladder Tuesday morning and Thursday night Riverside Community Hospital found gallstones … I don’t have faith in this ER.."
"Without question, the staff at RCH Emergency Room is the best! They took me in immediately and addressed my heart condition, remedying my emergency in what seemed like a very short time. They were all focused, professional, friendly, upbeat, and calm, and that kept me calm considering I was in the throes of this emergency. They are all the best, stellar, gold star! And I am grateful. If you're having an emergency medical situation, Redlands Community Hospital ER is the place to go."
"While I am on Dawn‘s phone in her Google, my name is actually Yolanda Cleveland and I recommend Redlands community Hospital highly. It is by far the best ER or ED I have ever been in. In my mind I like to think of them as the pit crew to a NASCAR race car. They’re not playing they’re serious they get you in and they take all the test quickly as fast as they can. They are amazing!"
"This hospital needs better system. I knew more than the P.A. Horrible and rushed bedside manners and follow-up. Last time I went I just left, because the nurse told me that the Dr. who is assigned is running late… like the wait is based off of a hospital staff member being late so I can’t be seen but a Dr. … the reason is because your Dr. is late. Amazing. Not the hospital and care of old. I have a mass (cancer) but… the P.A. was like it’s not a abscess … like duh, I am scheduled for surgery… I am telling you my thigh and left leg is numb."
