"My experience with the doctor was positive. However, my experience with the UCLA office left much to be desired. The office itself was difficult to locate and signage was poor. After finding how to get the front door, there is a security officer that directs you up more stairs. Then, the office itself is like a maze. Terrible design. Terrible location. After checking in for my visit, the front office staff told me I had to walk all the way back to where I entered to use the bathroom instead of letting me use the bathroom right behind the doors where my appointment was. Next, the nurse did not communicate to me that a PA was conducting my annual physical before I ever met the actual doctor I researched and scheduled the appointment with. I was a new patient of the doctor and location. I’ve been going to UCLA for almost 30 years and I’ve never had a PA conduct the entire physical. I was asked if a PA could be in the room with me, not do the actual physical. This shows that the nurse did not properly communicate what role the PA would have in the visit. Or maybe the nurse did not even know herself. Why would I want to tell all of my background to a person who I did not schedule an appointment with? I had told the nurse the same things I was telling the PA. At this point, I was 45 minutes into the appointment and still had not met the doctor. Once I finally met the doctor, I was then asked some of the same questions three times. After my appointment concluded and I needed blood to be drawn for labs, the nurse could not do it. She poked me once and could not find the vein. I had to go to a phlebotomist for my labs and get poked a second time. I’m not sure if most of the staff at this location are new, but that is how it seemed. In total, I was in the doctors office for one hour and a half. That is insane. I’ve never had an annual physical last that long. This only proves my point of all around incompetency. This was by far my worst experience at a UCLA facility and I’ve been to facilities all over Los Angeles."
"AS A first time patient , They staff didn't how to verify the insurance, Even I talked to Emma as a manger . She did not have any idea. Canceled my an appointment. BIG RED FLAG Made me to apply for the job to show and train the staff . IT 's really bad"
"working fast, on-time. But I said "I am here for prevent-care visit." But they charged copay and other labortory services. Me and my wife spent money for the "Prevent care visit" approx $200~$300. this is first time that I paid for it in my life. Stay alert.. when you want to use this facility."
"UCLA never ceases to impress us. Very kind and thoughtful people. Whoever does the HR for UCLA should get a raise because this network is unbelievable"
"The last 3 visits to this location have been terrible. My doctors have been nothing short of amazing, however, the staff and nurses have been the worst. The first time, I waited 30 minutes after my doctor visit to get my labs but I had to go get someone because it had been so long. The second time, I was waiting 40 minutes after and the medical assistant told me to check out and they would call me soon. I’m not sure what happened, but they forgot about me. Over an hour after my appointment and still no labs. I had to leave for work, so I left and sent a message to my doctor explaining what happened and that they basically forgot about me. He apologized and said they could schedule a nurse visit for my labs at any time I’d like. I was called and told they’d schedule me at 915 but can be seen as early as 830. Not happy I had to come back, but granted the labs needed to get done. Well, here I am again today and it’s 9:10 and I still have not been seen. I went to ask and was told the nurse was seeing other patients. Wow, well at least tell me over the phone I’d be waiting and not given priority. Seriously?! I really hope they change the staff and nurses here soon. It’s not looking good on the doctors and UCLA health overall! I am seriously considering changing locations."
