"If I could give this place zero stars I would. I'm so disheartened and disappointed in the medical care I received here. I can't believe so many people donate to this place and they have no idea how they treat expecting mothers. They don't care about life or helping people bring children into the world. Dr Pamela Estrada refused to see me until about 10 weeks pregnancy, you're not even allowed to call her office directly you speak to a call center there's no way to reach her or her office. They sent me to do an ultrasound before even seeing her. I go do the ultrasound then she calls me on the phone to tell me as I'm driving home my husband nearly got in a car accident when she told us this on the phone. Not even the courtesy to call us into her office, no sympathy or accountability she just blurted it out like nothing. I called to management to report this and nobody cared. This place is horrible. Nobody cared to check my blood work to see if I was okay I was 39 years old and high risk pregnancy, it was my first time being pregnant I had no idea about anything and no doctor would see me. For some reason this cocky medical care thinks that they know what they're doing by not allowing you to see a doctor until 8 weeks of pregnancy but it turns out I had low progesterone and I needed progesterone suppositories if they had prescribed that to me I think I would have had my baby after all. I can't believe nobody thinks to check your blood even just to be on the safe side by default they should check all your hormones to make sure you're okay. Nobody cared at this place very rude entitled secretaries and lack of care. If you say one negative thing the call center notes it in your digital chart and they all tell each other the gossip and call each other. I told one of them that I had not met the doctor yet and she told the doctor that so I found it interesting that they pass along the gossip and don't bother actually doing their work. The day my husband and I went in for the ultrasound we were so excited and the technician refused to tell us anything and would not show us the screen at all. It was like pulling teeth I had to go back to get copies of my ultrasound because they didn't want to show me that I had a blighted ovum. They use outdated methods here like CDs nobody even has CDs anymore on their computers. There are other good doctors out there I'm still looking for one but for now I just wanted to put this review to warn any expecting mothers to stay away from this place. I have PPO insurance they charge so much money I paid about $400 for an ultrasound but at other places I paid like $200. I have a benign fluid cyst on my breast they did a ultrasound and charged me about $400 for that as well and I didn't even get to talk to a doctor it was a technician. Medical care is not regulated they can charge whatever they want and get away with it. Hopefully this review will be posted and Google doesn't take it down because this is true to life honest advice of what I went through and it cost me almost $2,000 to have a miscarriage. I did so much blood work every week they were taking blood to check my HCG levels. I did not go in for the D&C they kept insisting and I said no I passed it naturally at home because they wanted to charge about $7,000 for a d&c procedure to be done in the emergency room. I told them that I am Catholic that is not an option our womb is sacred and not for someone to be hacking away at it. Thanks be to God I healed up now without their help and I saw another doctor to make sure. Do not go to this place they are just as bad as Kaiser but a lot more expensive. I wish people would stop donating to them they're named after a saint but they are not doing God's work. I never received even one follow-up phone call or anything from Dr Pamela Estrada office, we'll never return again. Every time I drive by it's so heartbreaking I feel a pain in my heart because I pass by there so frequently on my way home. The only good thing I could say is it's a beautiful facility, now if only they had a heart."
"My wife and I have been patients at this medical center (the old and new locations) for several decades. Sad to see how the customer service has deteriorated over the past few years. The cattle call nature of its present business model is completely contrary to the new location’s initially unique design for better patient experiences. The biggest problem is apparently accepting too many patients. In the past our doctors always had a scheduling cushion built in for urgent needs. No longer. It’s not possible to even talk directly to your doctor’s office. Called today about a worsening Covid infection and increasingly difficult breathing desperately trying to get in to see or at least talk to my doctor. Nope. But there’s a tele health appointment available with another doctor in three days. Not long ago our doctors would have fit us in or at least called us. Now we wait it out for Divine Providence or a trip to the ER if things get worse. I can’t believe it but after 35 to 40 years it’s time to find a different medical provider."
"This is just for the lab department only. Its the only room in this place that seems to be closed from 11:30 to 1pm. The usual requirement for medical test is to refrain from eating or drinking for 12 hours, so basically in order to come in at 1pm, you shouldn't have eaten all day from the night before. Some people standing in line are diabetic and are about to pass out, but they don't care. Which brings me to my next complaint: they make you stand outside in a line. They have the largest waiting room in the entire building with 35 seats, but they are too afraid to let in more than two people at a time. This is by far the worst run department in entire St. Jude's."
"I go to the Yorba Linda location as both of my sons’ pediatrician is there. However, their billing staff is horrible. My HMO has a PPO rider included for emergencies. This office always bills using the PPO rider. So every time I take my boys to the doctor, I get a bill in the mail and then have to deal with the hassle of getting it fixed. This is despite going to their designated doctor in network. The most recent bill was $704 due in 20 days. Beyond that, the secretary asks for proof of insurance on every visit despite having the same coverage for over 20 years and going to St Jude over 35 years. Also, was recently given a recommendation for an allergy panel for one son. The phone staff scheduled my son with an appointment during the hours for patients with respiratory and COVID issues due to having allergy symptoms. All of this was already noted on my son’s file by the express care doc. I came in and wasted time as the doc wasn’t sure why I was there when they should’ve sent me directly to the lab for the tests where no appointment was needed."
"Very clean facility. Good courteous staff. I am upset that their call center schedule an in-person visit visit for something that could have a have been a tele health visit. I specifically requested a telehealth visit and they said they don't offer them!"
