She is the best doctor by far my daughter has ever been seen by. She listens and goes above and beyond to help your child. My daughter's asthma is getting better because of Patty. Very knowledgable. "Never a good thing to have to be here in the first place BUT our experience was top notch when it comes to care and service. This hospital is by far the best I'v ever been to. The entire staff from security on up to the Dr's and nurses were extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Could not ask for a better experience for the circumstances we had. I would also like to add that the Ronald Mcdonald living room in the ICU was outstanding. They really go out of their way to make the parents feel as comfortable as possible during their stay."

"Like any hospital there are exceptional staff and some who should have picked another profession entirely. Compared to Kaiser where we started off with our son's center treatments CHOC is dream. It's teaching hospital and the main hospital IS dedicated to children. They are VERY careful & protective of children's safety. Their security measures need to be implemented in other places serving children. Like any EMERGENCY room they can not refuse to see patients because they are over age. So people who are surprised to see adults in the ER are clueless! Imagine if someone died because they were turned away? (Can we all say "lawsuits"?) CHOC has more innovative treatments geared to treat & protect growing bodies than any other hospital around. There primary focus is the all around health & well being of our most vulnerable, dependent citizens...kids. They have multiple programs, NEVER give up on options and incorporate the entire family in working to restore your child's health (@ Kaiser they tried to control parents choices, blocked 2nd opinions, talked down about the families & treated the kid's support system as an intrusion). We are grateful for the oncology team at CHOC & recommend CHOC over any other hospital when it comes to the specific needs of an ill child."
