"I was told by Dr Patel that I have diabetes and he rushed me out of the door. No education, no treatment plan, see you next year. When I demanded to be educated on my condition and medication, the staff got frustrated and couldn't get me out faster. Instead of answering my questions, they had me wait in the lobby until police arrived to trespass me. The staff had me escorted out because I asked for information about my lack of care. This treatment is unacceptable and shameful. The VA needs to uphold a higher standard of care for their veterans. All I got was complacency and neglect here from staff and Dr Patel. Even LVN Karl (a nurse here) agreed that I was mistreated by the staff and Dr Patel."

"I reside in Anaheim. I am a woman DV. This situation is ongoing IRT. Due to too many barriers as well as numerous traumatic and negative experiences at VA Long Beach ER, Urology Department & Women's Clinic I chose to request VA Placentia Clinic in March to request primary change from VA Medical Center Long Beach. VA Medical Center Long Beach never contacted me back in regards to my primary change request that the VA Placentia receptionist informed me they would, however, VA Long Beach would still contact me about other clinics and trials at Long Beach VA instead of focusing on what I asked for and needed which is a primary change to where I reside in Anaheim, minutes from VA Placentia . So I had to be the one to contact VSO Rep for help. I received in the US mail an official memorandum letter on 5 May 2023 sent from VA Placentia on 3 May 2023 stating in writing that VA Placentia are "contacting you in writing since we have been unsuccessful in our attempts to reach you to schedule an appointment with PRIMARY CARE" This is a Lie and False. No one from VA Long Beach nor VA Placentia attempted to nor emailed me on my healthevets to communicate with me. I had to call and stay on the call center line for about an hour to speak with a VA call center scheduler about getting an appointment there. Then after about 3 minutes that phone conversation ended, and I had my first new primary appointment scheduled, the same VA call center rep calls me back to inform me she needs to schedule me first for labs before my initial primary appointment and that will be another day and a 24 hour fast. Upon hearing this concerning 24 fast order because I am in real time recovering from numerous left and right kidney infections and surgeries and that order concerned me and so I spoke up saying so upon which she put me on hold for about a minute and when she returned she was laughing with a coworker in the background and tells me "Yeah, it's a 12 hour Fast" I knew she was giving false medical information which is why I advocated for myself. Two stars at this point. Stand By!"

"I have nothing but praise for ALL of the staff at this Clinic. The security guard was the first person that I came into contact with and he was very helpful in securing my bicycle and even tracked down a charger cable for me so that I could recharge my cell phone while I was there. I have been greeted by three different front desk personnel in my three visits so far, and all of them have engaged me in friendly conversations while checking me in and on my way out. While waiting in the reception area several personnel including nurses asked me how I was doing and shared their smiles and words of encouragement. Nurse Jennifer was very thorough, professional, helpful and friendly while taking my vitals and inducting my into this Clinic. My Dr., Dr Nguyen took the time to listen to all of my concerns and she was very thorough, professional, helpful, and friendly also. I have every confidence in her abilities to be one of the best Dr.’s that I have ever had. This clinic makes me feel like I am part of the family and I couldn’t possibly ask for a better Medical Clinic to call home."
