"The PA dismissed what i had to say about my medical history and did not listen to what i had to say about my symptoms and assumed i had covid even though i did not have any covid symptoms. Once confirmed i did not have covid she still refused to treat my sinus and upper respiratory infection and i was left to have my symptoms worsen."
"This review is for Dr. Ruiz and all the support staff at Memorial care HB. Dr. Ruiz is my primary care physician and he is fantastic. He takes his time, has empathy, and really cares about his patients. Also, the support staff at the office is incredible. I’m currently overseas with limited internet access and they have been AMAZING about getting me obscure documentation for a government position. Their response time is immediate and I’ve been a nightmare for them to work with. They have been nothing but kind and supportive. THANK YOU!!"
"An Excellent MD at Memorial Urgent Care in Huntington Beach discovered the cause of my pain and fatigue then referred me to a specialist who treated me until I began to recover."
"I had an appointment at 10:40. I was driving over 40 minutes out because it was the only appointment available in the area. I was running a bit late because I’d had to take my child to their pediatrician. On the way down, I called in, spoke with a patient navigator and was reassured as long as I was inside of the building within their standard 15 minute time frame I’d be fine. I stepped foot into the building at 10:53. When I got to the counter to be checked in, the front desk attendant pointed to her wall clock and said “I’m sorry, it’s 10:56, 10:57, it’s past the 15 minute window”; to which I held up my phone and showed her it was 10:55. She refused to admit me and instead directed me to the urgent care which had over a 2 hour wait. I’ve been a patient at Memorial Care for years, and this was by far the worst experience I’ve had to date. I’m not one to write reviews, I try to be generally understanding as I’ve worked in customer care previously…but to not only be wrong, but then lie and drag out the conversation so it actually IS past the 15 minute window was insane to me. I’ll be looking to switch my primary doctor to a clinic that is less dismissive of their patients."
"If you are a young adult DO NOT GO HERE. I got sick two weeks ago and Dr. Myles did not take me seriously at all; I felt like she did not listen to anything I said. She said there was basically nothing she could do unless I didn't get better in two weeks. On the other hand, my dad had gone in just two days before me with the exact same symptoms, and she had given him antibiotics. You could tell that she didn't believe the severity of my symptoms based off my age. Fast forward two weeks to today when I went in again because I did not get better. I saw Dr. Mehraban. This was the most awful experience I have ever had with a doctor. He would not let me get a word in beyond "yes" or "no." This was not a conversation -- it was him telling me what was wrong and I was not allowed to question him. He cut me off when I tried to offer additional information, and when I said "I am trying to advocate for myself and I want to make sure you have all the details," he was extremely offended. Dr. Mehraban acted so arrogant and rude, multiple times saying "I trust my medical expertise" as a way to dismiss the concerns I had. I left on the verge of tears, feeling completely unheard for the second time."
