Active Downunder

"Six of us just returned from an 18 day excursion to Sydney, Tasmania and New Zealand set up for us by Active Downunder. I cannot say enough about the organization of this trip and the close attention to detail offered to us. Everything ran smoothly with no blips along the way. We opted for drivers in each location and everyone of them were knowledgable and so pleasant to with. Jane and her team even made dinner reservations for us along the way which was a lovely addition and kept us from trying to figure out where to go each night. (and each restaurant was fabulous)! We will definitely consider booking another trip with Active Downunder in the future!"

"Jane has planned three trips for us, thus far. We travelled to New Zealand, Australia and Tahiti. Jane listens and asks the right questions. In New Zealand we did a fly/drive to both the north and south islands and visited some great places that only an expert would know about. Tasmania, Australia was our most recent trip. The visit was well thought out by Jane. Our accommodations were great. We spent a short time in “Tassie”, but saw so much. Markets, museums, incredible beaches, Cradle Mountain and a wildlife sanctuary that we will never forget. We started our trip in Hobart, the capital, and travelled through the beautiful countryside, with stops along the way that were recommended. The animals were amazing. We want to return, it was so much fun. A completely different, relaxing trip was Tahiti. Jane organized everything. We visited most of the islands, swam in the warm water, hiked the highest peak and toured some historic sites. Jane listens, offers great advice and is a great resource for your next trip."

"Jane has planned two trips for us and both have been wonderful. In 2013, Jane planned a self-drive itinerary in New Zealand for us and every aspect of it - accommodations, itinerary, activities - was perfect. We were delighted. So of course when Australia opened up in the spring of 2022, we contacted Jane to help us plan for that. Jane listened carefully to what we wanted and, working closely with us, planned a fabulous 5-week trip to Australia, including Tasmania, in September 2022. We asked that our itinerary include as much time in nature, seeing animals and learning about aboriginal culture, and Jane's suggested itinerary, accommodations, and local tips, were spot-on and really reflected what we'd asked for. Qantas threw us a curveball on the return trip home (the only snafu in 12 Qantas flights), and Jane jumped right on it, working hard through a number of obstacles to secure a generous refund for us from Qantas. In addition to being knowledgeable, hardworking and responsive, Jane is a delightful person, always fun to talk to. Working with Jane is one of the best things about planning a trip Down Under. We look forward to working with her again!"
