"They bury additional charges and fees into the terms and conditions. You pay an outrageous amount to full refund and then get slapped with an extra 100$ on top of that. Dont waste your time or money booking with them. Book your own trip for less."
"I had to cancel my sons trip because of family reasons! I was told that my refund would be in my account on the 22nd still haven’t received it in my account! This is one of the worst experiences, they are not helpful at all! They just keep saying that it’s my bank, I’ve called my bank and it worldstrides not doing what they say! You guys might want to get your acts together!"
"I chaperoned my daughter's 8th grade East Coast trip. World Strides was very disorganized and has very poor business policies! Our flight got cancelled 4 hours before take-off and it took World Strides 8 hours to notify us of the next flight. They notified us at 12:30 am that our next flight would be at 8 pm the next day. So we missed an entire 24 hours of the trip including one night at a hotel, 4 meals, all of the paid admissions to activities and the chartered bus. All of this was included in the very steep price of $4100. When we arrived at the airport at 7 am after our redeye flight, we were not allowed to stop and have breakfast. The tour bus rushed to join the scheduled tour and we were finally able to eat at 12 pm noon. Every day was rushed, disorganized and we didn't do many of the activities that were listed in the agenda. When we arrived at monuments we were told to run, take a 5 minute photo and run back to the bus. When we stopped at museums that were allotted 2-4 hours in the agenda, we were given 45 min to enter, view and return to the bus. I can go on and on. I am very disappointed in this business. World Strides is offering a $347 refund that I believe is not enough. My ticket cost $4100 for 7 days and 6 nights. we missed one night hotel, one day of activities, one day of chartered bus and meals. I have called World Striges 6 times to ask how they decided on this amount and to negotiate more. They either hang up on me, or I get the run around that a manager will return my call in 1 hour. I still have not talked to a supervisor about my concern. This is why I am writing this review. Our school district was so disappointed with their services that they will no longer use World Strides."
"I was so pleased with my experience. My son attended the Washington DC New York trip with worldstrides. He had a truly wonderful and life-changing experience. I was able to make payments on the trip, all the info about the trip was given to us in a timely mannor so we could prepare his bag. The pick up and drop off was timely. I was able to reach my son by his cell phone just to check in, he said the rooms they stayed in were nice and comfortable, he ate three meals a day and had a wonderful learning experience. Worldstrides coordinated everything so all we had to do was pay and pack the bags. He came back overjoyed by the experience and I'm so grateful there is a program out there that provides this opportunity for young people. I will definitely be looking for other opportunities through world strides for both of my children in the future."
"Finished a 12 day trip with this company. The tour guide was an AMAZING woman, she was super fun and sweet, 5 stars to our fantastic guide. My one star review comes from our hotel and food options. Over 70% of our food was chicken with potatoes that were usually French fries (minus one night when it was mashed potatoes). The restaurants we went to were also in shady areas around the places we visited. When we had "authentic Italian margherita pizza" it came with 0 basil leaves, it only came with parsley shreds... One other meal consisted of Flams, a French food, but it was from a cheap fast-food restaurant and while promised different styles, we just had the same ham toppings. Our hotels were not in the best of areas either, except our Rome Hotel which was covered in mosquitoes. One hotel we went to had a faulty elevator where three girls almost got stuck in, and the neighborhood was really sketchy, like downtown Los Angeles. I paid over $3k for this trip, we were supposed to go on 2020 but it got delayed due to Covid. The delay was fine, but this trip was not worth the money spent and time it took to experience it."
