"You have to wait at least 45 minutes to 1 hour for a bowl of noodle. Not worth it."
"Service needs A LOT of work. ** I know that they just opened, but this is my honest review on my experience there. ** It pains me to give them a bad rating because the people were actually very nice and friendly. We stopped by not knowing it was their grand opening, but it was made very clear with the terrible service. The wait to be seated was about 30 minutes. We didn’t mind considering the place was fairly small and the food seemed promising. They have a decent menu with a wide range of mì, bánh bao, and hủ tiếu options. Food was decent, but not good enough to make up for everything else. They were also giving each person a bánh bao which we got really excited about. Because people were getting really impatient while waiting to be seated, the workers were giving them their bánh baos while they waited — when they were supposed to serve it to them at the table. My family decided to just wait and have them serve it to us at our tables properly. We ordered an appetizer and 3 dishes: Mực Chiên Giòn, Hủ Tiếu Hải Sản, Mì Thập Cẩm (Nước), and Mì Thập Cẩm (Khô). We even confirmed with the waitress that took our order that we ordered 4 food items. 20 minutes after ordering, we still didn’t receive anything — no bánh baos, no drinks, no appetizer, and no utensils. People that were seated after us even received their items before us. I had to personally ask them to bring out our drinks. Then our appetizer and dishes came out shortly after. Only 2 dishes arrived though: the Hủ Tiếu Hải Sản and Mì Thập Cẩm (Khô). We thought that they were gonna bring the last one out right after and just waited. After 10 minutes, we realized that they had forgotten about our dish. We were gonna tell them, but realized that it wasn’t worth it. * Mực Chiên Giòn: 9/10 - super tasty but a very small portion * Hủ Tiếu Hải Sản: 6/10 - basic and lacked flavor * Mì Thập Cẩm (Khô): 7/10 - tasty noodles but soup didn’t have a rich broth After we were done with our meal, we thought we should at least get our free bánh baos only to discover that they RAN OUT. This made me really upset because we all know they ran out because they gave them all away to the people waiting to be seated instead of their ACTUAL PAYING CUSTOMERS. What’s most upsetting is that the people who got bánh baos while waiting actually ending up leaving due to the long wait. What a joke. All that aside, the restaurant itself was very nice and they have a decent amount of tables. My parents really enjoyed the Vietnamese food cart that they have for decoration. It brought back nostalgic memories of selling food back in Vietnam for them. ♥️ TIPS FOR IMPROVEMENT: * More efficient serving system * Prioritize paying customers over potential customers Since it’s located in a popular Little Saigon plaza, parking can be quite difficult. Even though we had an awful experience, we hope they can improve in the future. I wish them great success and am open to come back another time!"
"The broth is so good!! It's reminded me of Chợ Lớn noodles in Việt Nam. I will definitely come back for more."
"This authentic family-owned Vietnamese-Chinese restaurant is located inside Today Plaza near the T&K Foods Market. The restaurant is a fast, casual place for families to dine-in and enjoy a warm meal. The wait time may be long due to the popularity of Hue Ky Mi Gia, but the food is served quickly once you are seated and finish ordering. Overall, I would say this is one of the best Vietnamese-Chinese noodle houses in Washington. It's even better to dine here on a super cold day, because the soup instantly warms you up."
"Coming soon. Update later."
