"Randy Berlin is a trusting man and I hesitate to give him a two star review as he is a person who is probably adept at helping people who are genuinely going to get help. However, he did have a horrible impact on my father enabling him to become more and more abusive. My father has NPD and this means that he is a good liar. Randy failed to recognize the signs of my fathers abusive nature and allowed him to project his shortfalls on to those around him. In the mind of a narcissist like my father any retaliation to the most aggressive and horrible acts is seen as unjust... or so they say(doesn't seem to jive with the severe dishonesty, why lie if you believe you are in the right but.. digress) Randy encouraged him to wrap himself in armor to anything viewed as an attack. Creating a situation in which he could be abusive to those around him and feel fine with never being responsible for his actions. A narcissist is usually severely abusive and perceives defenses as an attack. Randy failed to see this, other psychologists who heard recordings of the behavior recognized it. If you want help he is probably a good therapist. If you are looking to get help dealing with someone with ASPD or NPD or NS, he is probably not your choice. Pick a younger psychologist who has studied anti social personality disorders in the last 10 years as the understandings of these fields have expanded greatly of late."
