Reviews of Globerouter
"One of the most horrible tour companies ever. The only commitment made that they fulfilled was to to get us to the destinations. NOTHING ELSE. I booked the Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe bend tour from Las Vegas. We were told that the bus would be Air conditioned and has Free WiFi. There was NO WiFi at all. Well the bus is very uncomfortable especially if you are unlucky enough to sit at the back seats. You feel every single bump in the road and trust me there are plenty. The bus rattles so much that you cannot hear what the tour guide is saying as he cannot be troubled to come to the center of the bus. There was no window cover at the back window so you experience the full glory of the Arizona sun. As far as air condition goes, I would think that it also meant heat. Well no such luck. We were all dressed in winter clothes, and you wouldn't dare take your coat off as you would freeze in the breeze. The tour guide was chinese, and spoke English with an accent that was difficult to understand and was rude on top of it. A person came up and asked him if he was Frank and the reply was " Ma'am, did you receive my text and got a picture, can you not compare it and see if it is or not". He literally read out how much tip every group needs to give to him and collected it when the bus started off. For the Antelope Canyon tour he was giving information on the Grand canyon and has no clue about anything on the Antelope canyon. There is only one bathroom break after 2.5hrs. I had informed the tour company about travelling with my elderly parents (>70 years) and said they was need to go every 1.5 to 2 hrs. I was assured it would be accommodated. I was rudely told by the tour guide that it would not be the case. There were no seats reserved for them up front so they could be more comfortable. The one star in the review is for the destinations them selves which were totally awesome but I don't think the tour company had anything to do with mother nature. Save yourself the hassle and steer clear of the company."
"Globerouter is a mediatory company so that at the end, you end up with some other company taking you to the chosen destinations. Unfortunately, our experience was not that great. As we have traveled by bus around Europe a lot with different travel agencies, we had already the vision of what it is and what to expect. But what we got with Globeretour and their partner Compass Holidays, was a completely different experience. We booked a 3-day trip to Quebec-Montreal-Ottawa. At first, you book a tour and then you have to pay additional fees for the bus driver and tour guide. SERIOUSLY? Can a tour go without a bus driver? It's ridiculous how some companies try to lower the price. Then, the bus... It was NOT good at all. Chairs are broken and the A/C was broken and a huge flow of air was blowing into my father's face. So the driver had to switch off one type of A/C and turn on from the side. The guide... We paid for the ENGLISH tour, but ended up with the Chinese-English tour. In this order... 65% of the info was in Chinese and 35% in English. The guide we paid additional money for did not do ANY walking tour with you in the museums. The only benefit from her was that she was telling us where the WC is and where and at what time we meet. Food - well, imagine 4 out of 5 restaurants were Chinese buffet.... That's exactly what we wanted on the trip to Quebec-Montreal-Ottawa... Chinese food. Not French, not Canadian. Ridiculous. Hotel - was okay. The only thing - it's very far from downtown, so you can walk there. Which is a minus, as we wanted to explore smth as we didn't see much on the first day. Food provided by hotel was very basic (muffin, apple and juice). Bare in mind that each destination you go to, there will be veeery little time to see anything. Basically, you spend the majority driving and won't see much. They also put some museums that you spend time on and won't see the city much. We were very disappointed with the trip and have very poor overall experience.."
"Got back from a trip with globe router, which was actually Lassen tours, the day before yesterday. Unfortunately I have to agree with some of the negative comments. First of all I was the only European on the trip. The guide was Chinese and not fluent in English. It should be mentioned somewhere that the trip is destined for Asian people. Secondly, I took an optional night tour in las Vegas. The guide had told us that he would show us four things for 35 dollars. Due to circumstances he showed us only one. Shouldn't he give us our money back? I expressed my disappointment but no refund was mentioned. Thirdly it should be mentioned somewhere in the long emails they send you about the costs that when passing by hoover dam, which is one of the three attractions, they can't stop in a good spot for you to take photos. They stop half a mile away. You basically see it from the bus. So on a more general note, if you have the opportunity to rent a car instead of a company like this one, do it"
"we booked the 7-Day East Coast In-depth Tour: Niagara Falls, Philadelphia, Boston, D.C. & New York Tour from NY (with Airport Transfers) - Tour Code: 11935. Our tour guide was Amber. If we can rate just the our guide, I will her a 5 stars. She is amazing at handling difficult situations, trying her best to taking care of every customer need. She is knowledgeable and very charming. She always kept us informed on the timing of the meeting, what to expect next on the tour. One of my friends forgot her purse on the bus. Amber and her coworker tried hard to get the purse with all her paper work and money back to my friend quickly. We can't ask for better customer service from these folks About the tour itself, here are the pros and cons: - Pros: for the first timer visiting the region or for people with limited amount of time, this tour gives a good introduction to the areas. It saves us a lot of time to find transportation, parking, accommodations... in a strange place. The selected sites are all interesting. We would not be able to visit that many places in such a short time if we tried to do it ourselves. The selected hotels are good. The price of the tour is also very attractive. This tour is good for Chinese as the tour guide is very fluent in Mandarin - Cons: With the exception of the hotel in Niagara Fall, other hotels are often located outside of the cities (that why they are economically priced). That lead to long travel time (1-2 hour each way) from the hotel to the cities center due to traffic. There are very limited free time to explore the areas. The fast pace will not be suitable for elderly or young kids. If you want to spend time to explore more, schedule yourself some extra time after the tour to do so. I would recommend this tour if you have energy to go through a fast pace trip and would like to have a taste of several attractions in a short time"
"We took an 8 day tour from Vegas. The tour guide was pathetic at best, called us number 14 throughout the trip, never explained us anything in English (her name is April) Bus drivers were great until we got into an accident with driver number 3. It was the drivers fault, speeding at places up and beyond 90mph. We wanted to leave the tour on the second day, the tour guide did not help at all, nor was the touring agency available to help and advise. The tour guide did not know her way around Yellowstone national park so American driver had to come and fetch the group from the woods, neither did she have bear repellent...as it is advised. No breakfast at all, although advertised with free breakfast, well actually once from 5:30 to 5:45, otherwise countless time wasted at parking lots and Chinese buffets for the right reasons. About to initiate a lawsuit, as my wife was in shock after the accident, we could only leave the tour when returning to Las Vegas, which we did. I have been communicating with the agency for a month and a half, besides sweet talk, no real attention to the problems. We would like to receive our money back, unless the issue is handled professionally, we will initiate a lawsuit with all the damages accrued. Definitely NOT recommended"
