The Jackson Family Reunion 2022 partnered with Flair Travel to host our biennial family reunion for 200 people in Montego Bay, Jamaica at the Royalton Blue Waters. Our family hails from the entire United States — West Coast to the East Coast so organizing a comprehensive package including air, hotel accommodations and airport transfers internationally took almost TWO years in planning and was NO EASY FEAT! David understood that with a group of our reunion size that we needed an all-inclusive resort with plenty of on-site ENTERTAINMENT that did not break the BUDGET. After, extensive research he convinced me that Royalton Blue Waters best fit our needs. He helped us secure the best group rates (I did my own independent research and his rates were better!) and an actionable group payment plan. Still, finding a location was just the beginning of our partnership. The Jackson Family Reunion has evolved into a sophisticated operation over the past 50 years so our expectations are high. Flair Travel was an integral part in all of our planning efforts. David used his powerful INFLUENCE as a travel concierge to make sure that our MoBay Concierge service, airport transfers, preferred room selection, group dining options, birthday recognition, wheelchair assistance, refunds, credits, insurance claims and even pool cabanas were reserved and processed seamlessly. He made sure that all the service providers remained ACCOUNTABLE to our group and personally picked up the phone numerous times to contact the hotel, airlines and transfer services to battle on our behalf. One must also appreciate that this planning was happening during and at the tail-end of COVID so COMMUNICATION about traveling during this time was paramount. David is so PATIENT - he answered every call (there were alot), emailed family newsletters regularly and co-hosted two Zoom family conference calls with Powerpoint presentations to make sure everyone was on the same page. Although we were prepared for worst case scenarios, noone was more jubilant than David when he finally was able to report that COVID testing for Jamaica had been lifted right before our reunion! One of the most significant gestures from David was that he actually met our group in Jamaica. He told me that there was no way that he could send so many people to Jamaica and not be present to ensure everything went smoothly and to extinguish the inevitable fires. As the reunion chair, I arrived early to meet with hotel management. Another sign of David's CONSUMMATE PROFESSIONALISM was that he came in the DAY BEFORE ME to make sure all things were in place for my meetings with the hotel! Our family reunion was a huge success. We honored David Petlin - Flair Travel with a personalized crystal travel concierge award and as an honorary family member gifted him a Family Reunion T-shirt for his stupendous service. I have a great photo of him rocking the tie-dye shirt on Family T-Shirt Day! The Jackson Family can’t thank David Petlin enough for bringing our VISION TO LIFE. I did an internet search for 5-star reviews of travel agencies. The heavens opened and dropped David in my lap.
