Sunrise Mall

"I give it 5 stars cause I grew up here. It’s so depressing to see our hometown mall sell out. I don’t understand why it is failing. I saw that yesterday in the news, there was a smash and grab at the jewelry store. It was only a matter of time, the security is non-existent, and obviously useless. Random old dudes in there checking out people, charging phones, and holes in the ceiling. Not very safe at all. I did love going here, it’s just very depressing now. What will come of this place, I heard nothing good! Especially cause of the areas surrounding it, iykyk ! Please save our beloved mall!"

"The owners of this Mall and the city of Citrus Heights have allowed Sunrise Mall become a eyesore, embarrassment, and a fire trap for the residents in our community. About 70% of the doors to this Mall are locked from the outside and are not usable to enter the Mall itself. 30% of those doors are barricaded from the inside too which creates a fire hazard in case of a emergency. 60% of the emergency exits / doors in this Mall are obstructed and again create a fire hazard in case of a emergency. This Mall is a death trap waiting to happen. This Mall is only serviced by 2 major department stores and about a a dozen smaller stores. About half of those smaller stores are either closed periodically or have hours that come and go when they feel like being open or not. The malls hours are incorrect on their website and on their doors to the mall. Furthermore, I witnessed homeless individuals, camped out in the children's Play area, charging their phones and electronics .... All awhile that a security officer sat in the (no food here) food court. When I passed him and pointed this out, he looked down that way and said ok. Not a minute later, this same security officer passed me heading north in the mall, the opposite way of the homeless issue and the children's play area. He never went down there and addressed the matter. What a sad sight Sunrise Mall has become."

"I LOVE SUNRISE MALL! Lots of large parking spots close to the entrances. Great helpful employees. WONDERFUL SAVINGS! DID ALL MY 2023 CHRISTMAS SHOPPING AT THIS MALL. Found something for EVERYONE on my list! Highly recommend! Wonderful place to shop!!"

"I absolutely love the small in the city of citrus heights. This mall has been here for at least four decades. When I was a young child and teenager in the 80s, I was often here and it is full of nostalgia. Unfortunately many of the smaller store fronts are vacant, but there are two large flagship stores still here, including two separate Macy's one for men and the other for women, and JCPenney's. There is also a See's candy inside which tends to be very busy. There are some jewelry, shops, bath and body works, and some shoe stores including other still in business. I highly recommend this small. It is smaller than Arden Fair Mall and the galleria in Roseville. However, I think it's much nicer. It's clean and it feels safe."
