Reviews of The Russell's of Mound
"There is nothing as serene as an evening dip with the Hippos here at Russels of Mound. I dropped my new born into the water in a fit of joy and panicked as she slid down towards the bottom of the pool. To my great horror Bertha, the oldest hippo, (widely known as the matriarch of the herd) gently swallowed my child! Panicked I swam down and forced my way past her gargantuan teeth and into her cavernous maw. Inside I was met with a scene that left me stunned. My daughter stood within a ballroom, spinning gently to an eerie tune. A tune played by a small gang of shrimp, one or two played the guitar. Another 4 a set of brass instruments. Another shrimp crooned into a mic singing a soft sweet tune. “We here in the mouth of wonderful bliss know only one life, only one way purpose to live to die, to live again here in here out is to know the way of the Buddha” Of course! I knew these shrimp were spiritual. “Our day begins when dawn arises and, mother is given her daily breakfast, a koan! a koan! we shout with joy. Avoiding the gnashing of her molars. One she claimed last week when gary feel. We payed respects upon his broken bow from which he spun songs of joy and great peace We love gary. for gary did abide.” I watched. Mouth open wide as my daughter spun within a circle of dancing shrimp their feelers swaying to the haunting beat. With comfort in my heart I slipped back through Berthas lips and into the murky water above. Knowing that the shrimp would return her to me. An hour later my wife and I were eating at the buffet when my daughter trotted up. Content and skipping. With her was a shrimp. It sat perched on her shoulder surveying the area with ill disguised skepticism. Clenched within one claw was a scrap of paper. It read: “Your daughter is now under our protection and guidance. This is Mario, our best warrior. Please feed 50ml of Plankton twice a day.” We hit Wendy’s on the way home for friaries. Minus one star because they overcooked my Brussel Sprouts. Will be back."
"My husband and I brought our kids and the hippos were just wonderful. As he says in another review, our son Timmy decided to join the stampede; he’s now in the best shape we’ve ever seen him in. The stampede keeps the kids strong and healthy, and I can’t recommend more than enough bringing your kids here. The hippos have changed our lives "
"Had a great time with the hippos, a lovely evening. Even went in the hippo pond with my wife and children, our little Timmy decided he wanted to stay and devote his life to becoming part of the stampede, now we visit every couple weeks to see our young hippo grow, would give 10 stars if possible."
"Absolutely delicious hippos! I make sure to take my kids here any time we’re in the area. A bit more expensive than Burger King but if you’re willing to shell out for the occasional treat I definitely recommend!"
"The people who run this circus are really, really nice. I do have one little problem. I bought two hippos from them. I had asked for 2 females but it think one of them is a male because now there are 4 hippos. I love them all so much that I have to keep them. They eat so much food I had to sell my big house and get a smaller house so I can have enough money to feed them. But no worries, when you got four hippos giving “hippo love” the world becomes a beautiful place."
