"The ER experience here is horrible. If you come where and get either nurse Izzy with glasses or Dr Williams, ask for a change. They are both super unprofessional and don’t have the patience or empathy to be ER personnel. The whole ER patient facing nurse team gangs up on you and insult you while you are sick and needing help. MOST UNPROFFESIONAL NURSES EVER AND ALL should BE FIRED"
"STOP LYING SHARP HOSPITAL, BE MORE ACCURATE & CLEAN / SANITIZE MORE! DR. MELANIE POLLACK SAID THEY COULDN’T FIND ME HERE IN THE ER WHEN I WAS WAITING IN THE LOBBY THE WHOLE TIME. WHICH WAS A LIE. I CHECKED IN @10:00pm & it’s currently 8:07am , A FEMALE RN - ALEX TOLD ME IF I LEAVE TO CHECK OUT & TELL THE NURSES. AFTER 10 HOURS OF WAITING WHY WOULD I LEAVE? . WHEN I FIRST CHECKED IN THE CLERK AT THE COUNTER TOLD ME THAT THEY WERE WAITING ON A ROOM & THE DOCTOR. IT TOOK 10 HRS TO SEE A “DOCTOR” & I HAVE RECEIVED NO ROOM OR BED. MORE LIES. FINALLY, THIS HOSPITAL WAS SO DIRTY, IT LITERALLY HAS BLOOD ON THE WALLS AND FLOOR. THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE IVE EVER HAD. PLEASE DO BETTER SHARP HOSPITAL BY NOT FORGETTING ABOUT YOUR PATIENTS , NOT GIVING FLASE STATEMENTS , & HAVE A SANITIZE & CLEAN ENVIRONMENT!"
"This hospital almost killed me. AVOID. THIS HOSPITAL (psychiatric) WILL KILL YOU OR YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS. THEY DO NOT CARE. To Sharp: I am going through your feedback process, but the only satisfactory solution to my concerns is the PERMANENT CLOSURE OF YOUR HOSPITAL. YOUR HOSPITAL IS SO GROSSLY INCOMPETENT THAT IT SHOULD NOT EXIST. Reasons I could have died here: - Was not provided water in ER. Had to repeatedly get up and ask despite being extremely dehydrated and having a psychiatric crisis. Was only provided a tiny cup I had to keep refilling by myself. - Was not provided sleep medication I needed despite repeat requests and expressing that I had not slept in 4+ days. Was only provided melatonin after 48 hours (I did request this at first but I was out of my mind and definitely needed stronger medication) - could not sleep in hospital due to loudness. Was once woken up to ~8 nurses hovering over my bed. I needed to sleep, not that. - Had not eaten in the better part of a week and was only provided solid food like burgers and rice crispie treats I could barely eat. I had a high heart rate because I was constantly terrified. - DID NOT SEE OR TALK TO MY DOCTOR A SIBGLE TIME. I was taken to this hospital by PERT and I recommend that PERT permanently blacklist this hospital from their selection of emergency hospitals to bring patients because their practices are cruel and incompetent. A bad choice for psychiatric hospitalization. I had a psychotic episode for two months during the summer and this was the first hospital I was sent to. The emergency room was crowded and loud. I could not sleep, even though I absolutely needed to because insomnia was a big part of my psychiatric illness onset. I actually probably spend a total of six or seven hours sleeping during my multi day hospital stay here. while I was in the emergency room, when I tried to run into another patient’s room, because I was having a delusion about them being someone that I knew in real life that The staff picked me up and held me down, and then give me an injection that put me to sleep. My exit paperwork is said I "eventually gave consent" to this, but I did not. I think being restrained, was necessary for my own safety, but I don’t know why they gave me an injection, and because I was extremely delusional This basically made me think a bunch of terrifying things about what happened to me. I called them about getting this change on my medical records because it is inaccurate, but they basically gave me a non-answer so they would mail me paperwork. I don’t know if they even will mail me the paperwork or if they will do anything, if I so I’ll have to look at taking action through another organizatiom. I remember once one of the nights when I was getting a precious three hours of sleep after like 10 days sleeping no more than 1 to 3 hours a night before the hospital, I woke up and Was filled with hospital staff staring At me, and talking. This did not happen in my other hospital at all. This woke me up Which was a huge problem and prolonged my delusional state. While I was in the hospital, I was repeatedly requesting sleep medication and it took them multiple days anything at all, not even melatonin, even though I needed the strongest sleep medications they could possibly give me. I believe that staying at this hospital was a terrible, terrible experience, prolonged my delusional state, and it took a hospitalization at another hospital And another month of being in a stable situation, after that, in order to recover. I repeatedly requested to talk to the doctor and did not talk to a doctor from here a single time during my stay here, or after. During my stay at Hillcrest, I would talk to a doctor on a daily basis, if not more. I believe that staying at this hospital, threatened my life, as after exiting I was worse instead of better, and I could have died because I did not understand what reality was, and could’ve done some thing I severely regretted. I do not recommend or trusting the care of anyone you love this hospital or sharp Grossmont at all."
"Horrible experience. We were placed in the first waiting area for the emergency department at 1pm. There was blood on the walls by the seating area and a bandage from someone giving blood on the floor. At 3:30pm, we were moved to a separate part of the emergency department. We weren't seen until 4pm just to get his vitals. I used the bathroom while in the second waiting area and once again there was blood in the stall where the toilet paper was. We are at 4:30pm. and still waiting to see a doctor. Unless this is your only option. I do not recommend this hospital. It is a health violation waiting to happen with dried up blood everywhere."
"On 1/22/24 my brother had appointment with his oncology at 11AM due to his recurrent cancer stage 4. After he mentioned to his oncology doctor that he can’t bowel for the last 2 days and can’t eat much. His doctor mentioned that cancer cell has been spread to his stomach for causing his tummy was getting big and could be explode if he continues to eat. His doctor sent him to ER and waiting to admit to the hospital for observation. He was sitting at ER’s lobby since 12PM and now it is 11PM that he is sitting to wait. I do understand that ER is busy but at least a patient needs to know how long he can admit to the hospital. Regardless how many times we asked a nurse at ER desk, the only answer was “we don’t know”. It is not easy for a patient with stage 4 cancer is sitting 11 hours at the lobby. A reason that he is still waiting ER because he has his medical record at your hospital and will be wasting his time to transfer and re-do scan or lab test at other hospital. His condition is not really good and needs attention from your doctor as soon as possible. If you are in my shoes and have your closet family member in this situation, what would you do? How can you improve your system?"
