"Good care"

"My wife delivered our daughter in this hospital. We have very good medical insurance through my work and so the hospital care was covered. After my daughter was delivered a clerk told us that we need to leave because they need to have another patient occupy the room. I told the clerk that I will pack up our stuff and vacate the room. My wife was still a bit weak but she were preparing to pack. Then all of a sudden there was this very angry & rude hospital administrator who showed up all of a sudden at the entrance of our room saying, “WE TOLD YOU THAT YOU NEED YOU TO LEAVE THE ROOM BECAUSE WE NEED TO USE IT. YOU NEED TO LEAVE NOW!! I was shocked by this totally unnecessary rudeness because we were already packing. My wife had a hard time moving because she was still in pain from giving birth. I calmly got her into a wheel chair and move her out of the hospital. They found out later that we had a medical insurance from my work and our insurance is not through Medi-Cal. Just because we were a minority does not mean we will seek medical treatment through charity. The staff who showed us out of the hospital was even surprised to see that we were driving an expensive van. My wife is a California board licensed laboratory scientist and I work for the U.S. government with a high paying job. We can afford to pay our medical bills. Because of that incident my wife and I told many of my friends and colleagues to never go to this hospital. I would rather go to a smaller hospital where the staff don’t judge people and push patients out the door like cattle. Don’t let your child be born in this hospital!"

"Horrible hospital! I had emergency surgery, appendectomy, and the kicked me out the door 30 minutes later. I'm not from this area and came back due to burning in my incision areas and have been treated rudely. Asked if there was a cocktail in my water bottle, I don't drink, and just been ignored since."

"Absolutely awful. Go anywhere else if you can. Tons of unnecessary testing, uncoordinated staff, went in for nausea and was kept for NINE hours on what the staff called "the slowest night ever". Unbelievable."
