Reviews of Kaiser Permanente Riverside Medical Center
"Service is by far the fastest! I have been to another Kaiser in a different county before and service was so slow there; I ended up waiting for a total of 3 hours just for a simple checkup and lab work. Here I was in and out in about an hour. The staff are fast and professional in what they do. They know how to make small talk, which is a great plus for me! The parking garage was very nice to use. It's free and I don't get why everyone keeps trying to find space in the outdoor lot, holding up incoming traffic. The first floor of the garage is dedicated for handicapped drivers; all the floors up are for regular parking. There are stairs and two sets of elevators for ease of accessibility. This Kaiser is the cleanest I've ever been to, and the biggest. I actually got lost a few times because there were so many hallways, but there is a lot of signage so if you can't find your room, just keep wandering around and you'll find it."
"UPDATE: Kaiser somehow keeps trying to delete my review but I will not stop updating until the hospital does the right and ethical thing. Currently they are still trying to cover up their illegal mishandling of our family member and are refusing to speak with us. UPDATE: Kaiser you do not disappoint. Upon reviewing our family members medical records over the last few days we found a forged consent scanned and uploaded into her file weeks after they already confirmed there was no consent on file. In fact, we have a voicemail from Kaiser calling to inquire where we would like to send her body for services because no accommodations were consented for. Our family did not consent to anything, the consent is not in our handwriting, and it is a shame how these series of events keep turning. I wrote a review here around 3 weeks ago and Kaiser somehow got it deleted. They lost our deceased family members body and had no records or consent on where they sent her. Our family had to call every facility in riverside because they had no formal record. Not only did the manager Pam Grant blame our family saying there had to be a consent, she never called our family back to formally acknowledge there is no consent. I was able to get in contact with her leadership in which it was confirmed after checking with MR there was no paperwork. They have not reached out to us to apologize and are making it extremely difficult to get answers on how this even happened. They went so far to somehow delete my review of their negligence. Do not trust Kaiser with your loved ones!"
"After having an emergency C-section, you’d think that they would give their patients the time of day to follow up in person. That’s not the policy anymore however. I got one video phone call 3 weeks after my surgery and that’s it. I explained how I was experiencing a postpartum depression, and I was told that it’s because I’m trying to breast-feed and that usually adds on stress. “It’ll get better”. This place is a joke. I can’t describe it any other way. The OB/GYN department is a disaster. I went 41 weeks and I had to call around multiple times and schedule my own NST test because my OB didn’t follow up with anybody or put it in order for anything. The L&D nurses are a godsend to this place. They are worth so much more than this trashy hospital. I would 10/10 not recommend. Oh, and lastly, if you are looking to deliver your child here and they give you that welcoming backpack make sure you check inside. They gave us a backpack and when I opened it, I realized it was infested with mold."
"Kaiser used to be one of the top hospitals in the nation. I don't know what happened, but they need a new business process. I sat in the ER for hours, which, okay, it's the ER and to be expected; however, the check in process was ridiculous. People were standing in line for over 15 minutes while staff talked to one another. It feels as though the ER is lacking a "sense of urgency". The check in process should be quick. I saw so many staff members walking a casual pace throughout the halls. People were coughing up blood, crying and screaming. No one checked on them. There were not enough chairs to sit in. I had to sit on the hard, dirty floor. I understand that this may be a normal situation for staff, but it is not for the patients and staff should continously go above and beyond. I'm sadden to say, but Kaiser has gone downhill. I will be changing insurances during my next enrollment. Kaiser, do better."
"Had an appt for the first time at Kaiser in Riverside and boy what a mess it was. First off, the parking is a huge mess! To make make matters worse, the Dr. I had an appt with was a joke. Didn’t answer any of my questions and concerns. It was the quietest appt. I had ever been to in my life, all she did was type an essay about nothing I had originally been referred to by my primary care. Please do yourself a favor and never book a rheumatology appt. with Dr. Amy Chun- Chun Chang. On top of all this, this section of the facility is in horrible shape. I guess Kaiser can’t spend the extra money to get professional signs made with all the money they are taking from us, let alone hire animal control to get the cats out of this part of the facility so that they can stop scratching the waiting room area chairs. Kaiser you really have to do better."
