"This is the worst hospital, fraud! I overpaid check more than 120 dollars , but the staff always lie to me. The first time she said it was on the way, the second time she said it would be mailed soon, the third time she said would wait for a week, and the fourth time she said the check hadn't been mailed out yet. , wait slowly! It’s been almost 6 months still not get my check , all kinds of deceiving customers! I will report such consumer fraud to the relevant departments!"
"Worst emergency room service. Please save your time and don’t bring your kids here. My daughter came here with a bad allergic reaction where her eye became completely shut and was getting worse by the minute. The staff took 45 minutes just to see her and then they sent her out again. 30 minutes later they called her and gave her medication and notified us they would check her in 30 minutes. 2 hours passed and they forgot about her until I called them because her eye was still swollen and she became drowsy. All they said was if I wanted discharge papers to leave . Never coming here again!!! I wouldn’t even give a star. No stars deserved"
"I had spine surgery a couple days ago at Garfield. When I woke up, I cried for 3 hours in pain before anyone would address my pain, finally, they offered me a 5/325 Norco, I asked for something stronger and the nurse told me the 325 part was the hydrocodone and the 5 was the acetaminophen. Any moron knows this is not true. When I told her, she started arguing with me. Then they tried to give me sleeping meds for pain. They just left me in the room crying in pain. Also, they did not protect my tongue when I was under anesthesia. I must’ve been biting it the whole time because my tongue is literally blue and black and beyond swollen. I left AMA, that place is not safe for humans."
"picking up a patient post surgery from here and was directed to call so they can be rolled out and one of their operators are rude on the phone for absolutely no reason! they ask for the name and immediately tell me they have no one by the name and then tried to dismiss me. and i had to respond quickly before it seemed like i was going to be hung up on, to quickly remind them that i was directed by their staff to call them after their surgery was done at 10 am (and im here at 10:10). then they asked for the name again and actually took the time to search it up since i heard keyboard buttons clicking over the phone and they say “oh just finished” and hung up, with no follow up information, it’s been 10 minutes and i don’t know what to do. why is he even assigned this occupation? people are struggling with health issues and he’s the person you have to talk to post-op. 2 stars for the rest of the staff that did a good job during drop off. THAT guy was acting like my phone call was unwarranted. Update: waited 20 more min, and called again to be informed by a friendly female operator that it’s 2-3 hour recovery after they’re done with surgery. So I would’ve waited 2-3 more hours outside with no clue based off his answer. update on update: they sent out a faulty prescription that delayed the order from being ready at my local pharmacy and now waiting on doctors response. while post op patient is in immense pain. yeah don’t go here. please. and if you do, please make sure to advocate for yourself, because they simply do not care."
"My wife delivered our son here last week. We overall had a great experience. The nurses were friendly and attentive. Well staffed and clean. Dr Vo delivered and was in control and directed staff well. This is our third child so we were focused on making sure everyone was healthy and getting home soon. The staff was helpful and helped to get us ready and cleared just over a day after delivery. We could have stayed another night (highly recommend that for first time parents) but we were happy to get home. Only things I would point out are: 1) they did not offer circumcision at the hospital which means the circumcision won’t end up happening until 10 days after birth and 2) some staff had very strong accents which with masks on made for difficult communication at times, but everyone was patient and worked to make things clear. Other than those two things, we had a great experience, and would recommend it to anyone if this hospital is on your insurance plan. The maternity center was clean and quiet and we felt perfectly comfortable. The post partum room we were placed in had two full beds which made for a very comfortable recovery for mom and dad. Also, parking was plentiful, free, and convenient."
