"How do you run into a lightpole in a church parking lot? I did. AutoOwners and Claims Adjuster Jessica Briggs...couldn't be more impressed with the way my claim was handled by AO and Jessica. That's why I've been a satisfied policyholder for a long time."
"Horrible insurance company! When a tree fell on my $3500.00 she shed, I called and spoke with a claims agents who said " well, what was the shed, like a rubbermaid shed? When I stated the cost, he said, "well, you didn't have much of value in it did you? So glad to now have a different company!!!!"
"This is awful company. My Mother has Auto-Owners insurance for her home and auto. She had wind damage back in December 2021 wind storm with a large portion of the roof was missing shingles and roofing underlayment gone. The contractor had told her she needs a new roof, this company's adjusters said they MIGHT pay for her roof. They are not going to even help pay part of it up front. They may pay a little over $7000.00 once it is done. It’s costing over $10,000.00 for the new roof. Seeing this so-called insurance company has been dragging this claim out since December now we are in May because of the roof was not fixed water got in and the ceiling on the hallway has collapsed there was wet installation everywhere and now there is mold. I’m still trying to figure why the adjuster never looked in house attic for further damage. My Mother is on a fixed income and in her late 70s. She just wants the roof fixed after paying over 15 years for insurance that does NOT help when it’s needed. Auto Owners insurance company is the worst insurance company. I’m so glad I don’t have this insurance company but my poor Mother does. This must be why this insurance company still in business they Do NOT pay on claims. I would NEVER buy insurance with this company."
"My mom has been paying home insurance through this company for 7 years and never has filed a claim, now it has been found that due to storm damage the roof has been leaking and wrecked insulation and sheetrock, which was not detectable prior to wall being removed for want of redoing a bedroom. Discovered black mold and the roof leaks. Company claims that damage is not covered. Very frustrating when the roof leaked down the inside of the wall and didn't make obvious marks as to the extent of the damage prior to this."
"Customer service with this company is extremely poor. They contracted a claims adjustor from Texas to come out and check on a SNOW and ICE claim that caused a wet basement. It was not seepage from the walls; as a matter of fact, the walls appear to be wet from absorbing the water from the carpet and wood; however, they would not send out a different adjustor and are not covering any damage. They are cheap, in rates and service - not worth sacrificing a slightly more expensive company for this type of service."
