"Stay away! They were the contractor for the builder that built our home. Customer service was always horrible, but it has gone to new heights now. Can't get a hold of anyone live other than an answering service."
"Not good. The solutions (Audio Anyway) they offer are last resort and if your wife or husband refuses to allow exposed/visible stereo equipment. At least that's my situation so I did not do my due diligence and discover what I was buying when I folded this audio package in to my home purchase. It's klugee, complex and you can't really just DO what you want to do. It's all programmed by them and serviced by them. So, plug in a new source and listen to that source over the recessed speakers? Nope, not without them. Get a new TV, call them. Then wait. Currently the wait is 6-8 weeks. So think about that. You can't adjust your audio system without waiting for 6 to 8 weeks. Also, when I started getting angry about this, after I, yes I, tried to add a source and blew up the system somehow, was told it would be the 6 -8 weeks but that they'd try to fit me in. Well that was a week ago and I've tried to call (only voice mail, nice huh?) and email the account manager on my account. Nothing, crickets. It was only when I started throwing around the word "litigation" and "lawyer" that all of a sudden a manager called me. They'll come out and fix my screw up but adding that source I wanted to add? $150 bucks. There are some of you reading this that this may be your only option and if so I would recommend looking for competitors that have better reviews. If you can avoid this solution (extending HDMI and your RF remote with many parts) I would do that. I screwed up and bought a junk audio system sold to last mile customers without options as part of my Toll Brothers home purchase and man do I regret that VERY expensive mistake."
"**ATTENTION NEW HOME BUYERS - AVOID E4 CONTROL SYSTEMS** Didnt want to believe the other negative reviews, but unfortunately its true. This company is complete and utter garbage. I wish I had a choice not to choose these idiots on my new construction with Toll Brothers. It took 4 months to install my sound system after I moved in, and they did a horrible job with it as well. Im having issues and its impossible to reach a customer service rep. Calling them automatically disconnects you, so its literally impossible to reach someone. Im basically screwed out of a $15,000 install. Looking to take legal action."
"I echo the other bad reviews listed here. We purchased a security system which included cameras when we purchased our home a year ago in March 2021. We closed escrow in November. E4 Control Systems failed to order the cameras until December (a month after close of escrow) so of course there was a delay and those cameras are on backorder. They rescheduled our appointment 4 times and canceled 4 times!! Still no cameras as of 3/20/22. I have discussed this with other neighbors and they have had similar experiences. One star is not low enough!!"
"I don't think I've ever dealt with a company worse than E4. Poor quality control and horrible customer service. If your home builder uses this company think twice before opting for any upgrades through them. They will cut corners and you will definitely not get all you paid for. When you discover their errors and omissions later, don't expect them to come and actually correct their mistakes. They are in breach of contract with respect to the options we chose. But since the problems were hidden behind walls and only discovered a couple of years after move in, they refuse to stand behind their work citing we are out of warranty. A warranty has nothing to do with you honoring your contract and actually supplying and installing what was purchased. They point blank refused to come to the house to investigate and resolve my issues. Home builders that use this company don't get a pass either. Despite complaints from numerous home buyers Toll Brothers continues to use E4 and doesn't really hold them accountable."
