"Let me start off by saying I used to work for von rueden aka rex excellent guy to work for he's very laidback there's definitely set in his ways which he's got every right to be considering the excellent products he puts out in that little shop he keep the slaughter floor very very clean I learned more on that slaughter floor then I ever have with all the years combined working for other places. The snack sticks that he puts out are just phenomenal he puts in nothing but quality meats in his sausage and snack sticks went to westby seen his snack sticks i picked his over everybody else is cuz I know the quality he puts in there I had two packages gone before 3 mi were driven I tasted a lot of snacks it throughout the years I've worked in this field his snack sticks are number one in my opinion and others that I have talked to say the same.. ham is never dry bacon is superb and juicy keep up the good work rex.I could not work for him anymore cuz of health reasons but I do miss his snack sticks everyday"
"Nice meat market. Bought jalapeno cheddar sausage and jalapeno cranberry beefsticks. They were ok. I'd prefer a little more jalapeno in both but that's just me."
"Just grilled Von Rudens bacon cheddar brats brats that I bought while in the area for a family reunion in June. Had them on a brioche bun with dijon mustard and kraut. The brats were so good they would've tasted great on an old shoe. This is not a small town butcher shop but truly a world class meat market. I've had brats from all over the state and this was the hands down best. However far you have to drive to check this place out, you won't be disappointed."
"Great selection of locally sourced meats. Bacon is great and lots of other fresh and frozen options. If you want a steak they can cut it for you right there. Make sure to ask them to take a look in the cooler at the curing meat."
