"I would not recommend Dr. Deborah Estevez. She does not accept other doctor recommendations. She is set in her own ways. Each patient should advocate for themselves. Dr. Estevez wants me to trust her, based on her 20+ years experience, which I do. BUT, if another doctor recommends to get check for something, why not get it done, to rule out any health issues. She dismissed me and my health concerns. I asked her to document her refusal to give me the specific test I needed done. She got up and kept saying if I did not trust her 20+ yrs. of experience, I need to see another doctor. She said I will not have my patient dictate how I need to treat them. I said, by all means, no offense to your profession, but it was the recommendation of another doctor. I said I will pay for it myself. She said no, since I recently got one done in August. I said that was not recent, it was 7 months ago, a lot can happen in that time. She refused and said she does a cholesterol lab work for her patients every 3 years. She was already giving me blood work and refused the one blood work my Ophthalmology doctor requested I get checked. She was rude about my office visit and my other health concerns were ignored, as she said; it happens, its normal, it might go away, or not. I knew then she could not care less of my health issues. After what was said and done, I got up and she opened the door and said exit is this way, across is the lab. AND, just like that, I was dismissed."
