Reviews of Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital
"I have been a very satisfied patient at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital on several occasions and I was genuinely impressed and happy with their services all the way from checking in to being wheeled out to my vehicle. The hospital staff, the physicians, and the nurses were very knowledgeable, professional and personable. I realize people's experience at hospitals can vary widely due to the individual's personal experience and whether or not treatment was successful or not. I hold a special place in my heart for also who were willing to take years out of their lives studying, testing and practicing in order to help the rest of us. I managed a 4 year degree at the University but those in the medical field can study for 8 years plus before they can even begin to work. Even the course work is intense with challenging classes being the norm. To sum up, I feel confident in recommending this fine hospital. Please note that most of the reviews are quite good or very angry due to the seriousness of the outcomes. When the results are less than stellar it is frightening and frustrating to the patients and their families and their first instinct to express their fear and anger. For those who are satisfied with their outcomes there is much less motivation to write positive reviews. The successes tend to simply go back to their normal life and frequently try to leave thoughts of illness, surgery, and hospital gowns far behind. A behind the gowns always fail to cover!"
"My dad was admitted for liver cancer and Aids. He got the worst treatment, I told the nurses he has dementia and they were asking questions to him that was confusing him. I never got a real answer out of anyone when it came to my dad's health. I requested that my dad go to a assisted living home and they kept trying to convince me he can live at home alone. These people don't care. As soon as he's in there they try and push him out. I'm so glad my family Has Sutter. My dad should deserve better."
"The case workers need to take check In them selves. They have no compassion nor are the caring for the patients real story of life. They lied to me lied to my son took upon them selves to discuss personal business with him and not me the pacient to move forward and come get me and bring me to his home to take care of me. Without my knowledge .and lied about the whole situation. Told my son I'd been discharged and was waiting for him in the waiting room which in return resulted in me loosing all or any after care by or from health rehab stay. Cause great trama and greef for me and my whole family."
"No stars for this one.Worst experience of my family’s life. Treated very poorly like third class last in line bottom of the barrel. Until my sister which is a registered nurse told me to demand a swab for pertussis for my less than one year old daughter, they would not test my daughter for pertussis. She stopped breathing. Several times turned blue, had we not demanded this, things could’ve been a whole lot worse. We were treated very poorly and it was so hard to watch my daughter suffer while they kept checking to see if she was still breathing they kept calling it croup. It was not. Always demand the best care for your family. This was a very painful time for us watching her suffer. Do better Santa Rosa Memorial. My beautiful daughter is now 10 and is doing great because of my sister not you guys Santa Rosa Memorial do better for your patients"
"Overall, our experience at the hands of the doctors, nurses, and staff was excellent. The ICU staff was outstanding in every way. The next area of the hospital had a few staffing glitches, but everyone was friendly and supportive. These people are overworked and underpaid, so their kindness and care for my wife were welcome in this crisis situation. Thank you all!"
