Reviews of Americas Best Value Inn & Suites Anaheim Convention Center
"The rooms are a little dated, and the floor was dusty in the room. There was trash (pizza boxes etc) in the courtyard in the mornings, but it was a convenient location for a local overnight trip to Disneyland. It's walking distance to the parks, and the Toy Story parking lot, so you can take the shuttle if you don't want to walk. It's right next to the Garden Walk as well. It's perfect for families or people looking for short stays to do Disneyland. I wouldn't do an extended luxurious vacation there, but the facilities are decent enough. The STAFF is very friendly and accommodating. We were able to do a late checkout with no hassel, and checking in was fast and simple. They even offer free coffee and tea in the lobby."
"Cute and very peaceful property. Rooms are very nicely renovated. Cleanest linens I ever saw. Front desk people are very friendly. Just 10 minutes walk from Disneyland. I felt very safe with my 8 year old. Loved it ❤️"
"The best part about this hotel was the location. Walking distance to Disneyland and restaurants nearby. The owner and his wife were very friendly when we checked in. Unfortunately, that’s where the good stuff ends. The room was very disappointing. The blinds and lamp shades were very dusty. The bathroom had dust and hair along the edges of the sink and baseboards. After a long, rainy day at Disneyland, we just wanted to get into warm beds. Pulled back the covers to find hair and other debris on the obviously not changed bed sheets. I called the front desk to ask if someone could come change our sheets. I was told no one was available to do that, but he did bring me some clean sheets so I could change them myself. When I removed the dirty sheets, it exposed fluid stains on the mattress cover. Very gross! I understand you get what you pay for, and this room cost me $100 less than where we normally stay. But some things should be automatically expected when renting a room, like cleanliness and a clean bed. I will not be staying here again. The only reason I offered a generous 3 stars is because of all the great reviews. I’m going to give them the benefit of the doubt and hope that our dirty room was just a fluke."
"We really enjoyed our stay here! We loved the location - there were so many restaurants within walking distance and the trek to the parks was short and felt very safe. We didn't even rent a car during our trip! The service was amazing, too. We arrived before check-in and we're worried we have to lug our bags around for 4 hours while we explored Downtown Disney. But the staff was super helpful and was able to get us into a room early for a small fee! We'll definitely be back next time we go to Disneyland."
"The best things about this hotel are the location to Disneyland’s main entrance and the pool and hot tub. We did not use the pool because it was cold, but it’s a huge, very clean pool with one end reaching 8 feet deep. The hot tub was nice and hot and felt really relaxing after a long day of walking for miles at the park. Also, it was very quiet at this hotel. The not so nice things about the hotel are that it’s old so it needs some updating and repairs. The paint is peeling on the ceiling and in the bathroom. The thermostat on the heater did not work properly. It would heat the room way beyond the set temperature and in the middle of the night, it would start making a really loud grinding sound and we would have to turn it off and then back again. They didn’t use a fitted sheet on the mattress. There was just a top sheet that was too small so the bottom third of the mattress pad was exposed with no sheet on it. I would recommend bringing slippers or wearing socks at all times as the floors turned my daughter’s socks black. There is a refrigerator and a microwave which is convenient. And we liked the room we had because there was a king bed in one room and then a queen bed in a separate room with a door so my daughter could have that nice quiet space all to herself. There are several great restaurants right down the street. The price was unbeatable. So if you really want to save money, stay close to Disneyland and you don’t care about having anything fancy this is the hotel for you."
