"Thought we would try some where new for a Friday fish , walked in ..not a soul at The bar, drinks were flat. Ordered and waited 30 minutes and then was told the walleye was not thawed yet …. Needless to say we left."
"My husband and I ate here tonight, it gets better each time. Tonight, I had chicken alfredo it was so creamy and flavorful. I also had the BEST soup of my life, no joke! I loved it so much I ordered 2 bowls to go. We're looking forward to our next visit."
"My wife and I went here with high hopes, but even low hopes would have been shattered with our experience. It took us over an hour to get our food, it came out over cooked. We ordered maple salmon and prime rib (medium rare). The salmon was dry with a consistency similar to sawdust with an overwhelming fishy taste to it (no maple taste whatsoever lol). The prime rib came out well done instead of medium rare with no crust whatsoever. The taste of said prime rib was not quite right. I have no words to describe it other than funky. It was grey/brown and tough. They somehow took one of the best cuts of meat, in my opinion, and made it one of the worst meals I’ve had. The fries were undercooked. The soup had little flavor. The salad was warm. The Coca-Cola was pretty much water. This is the only time I’ve ever returned food. The salmon made my wife, who loves seafood, throw up almost immediately. When I told the bartender about the food, she sent the manager to us immediately. I told her about what was going on and she was giving me a hard time about the food, saying that she just had the salmon and it was “fine.” Even if it was fine, which it WAS NOT, I am not paying $22 for a piece of salmon the size of a bar of soap that’s “fine.” After the argument, the manager said she was going to take our food back and get our original waitress. It took over a half hour for us to get the bill for our drinks. We left without receiving an apology of any kind. My only wish is that I could bill them for the hour and a half of our time that they wasted. Again, this is the ONLY meal I’ve ever sent back in my life. I will happily tell anyone I know about our experience and our desire to avoid this place from here on out. The fact that they made us pay for our 2 drinks after the experience we had is appalling to me. They were made horribly. To all reading this review, have fun if you go there. Maybe your experience will be better, however, I recommend going down the road the the next place."
"(July 2020) Service was great, very friendly and welcoming place, but the food wasn't very good, in my opinion. I ordered the philly cheese steak sandwich with tater tots. The meat was disgusting and had a freezer burnt taste to it. The onions were un-sauteed and basically raw, the mushroom I requested were canned and almost nonexistent, they put green peppers on my sandwich when I specifically asked them not to, and the sandwich was extremely overloaded with a flavorless processed shredded cheese. The tater tots were also burnt and inedible. It was an unenjoyable meal. (Updated Review January, 14th 2021) I decided to give this place another try while staying at the resort this week. I ordered a mushroom and Swiss burger with tots, the chili nachos, and the Wisconsin macaroni and cheese. The burger was good. I asked for medium and got well done, but the burger was well seasoned and had good flavor. And the tots were golden brown and crispy the way they are supposed to be. The chili nachos were also good, but a bit on the spicy side. I’d recommend having different levels of heat and posting on your menu that the nachos are spicy, and I’d love to see a seasoned ground beef(not chili)option as well. Unfortunately, the Wisconsin macaroni and cheese wasn't very good. The breadstick it came with was burnt, and the cheese sauce tasted like it was a powdered or cheaply canned sauce that had a very unpleasant taste to it. I really wanted to like it though, macaroni and cheese is one of my favorite foods. With some very small and inexpensive improvements, you will have a great dish. This was a much better experience than the last time I ate here. I enjoyed a majority of the food we were served. I am looking forward to giving this place another try."
"While staying at the resort, decided to stop by and try the bistro. Very tasty! The menu isn't too fancy, pretty basic, but what they have they do well. My husband got the burger, and I ordered the boneless wings with a side of parmesan tater tots. Great portion sizes, too!"
