"I just came in to Sutter coast hospital and took my boy for a wrestling related injury was told they have to do x-rays first for an injury that doesn't appear to be a bone related injury. Ok I get it that's there policy however when I'm greeted by a doctor whos name Steve Einelberg who starts getting defensive when I ask if after the x-ray we could get a mri referral.He first proceeds to tell me they only do MRI on patients who show definite signs of ligament injury or paralyzed patients and they don't do them on weekends when I said I understand that but can you get him a referral for next week he then immediately contradicted himself by saying they don't do referrals for MRI nor do they have an MRI machine to do an mri. So we left without treatment because he apparently was not going to get treatment his justified his knowledge of not having the ability to do an MRI by saying that he has worked in over 40 hospitals and no of them do MRIs well first of all I know that's a crock of you know what my kiss proceeded to tell me as we were leaving why was that guy so mean. I got in my car and called the hospital and asked if they do mri and mri referrals they said yes so i clarified that you do mris and can do a referral for a MRI they said yes. I told the lady about the incident and she apologized and said yes we do them here. I will be reaching out to the his bosses."

"I did a couple of travel RN 6 month jobs here. Best place I ever worked. Docs and staff are outstanding, friendly, welcoming, very knowledgeable. The unit is very nice. Housekeepers are excellent.The team work and support are their Gold Standard. Beautifully done. This is what nursing and medicine is all about. Thank you, Sutter Coast, for letting me be part of this A+ facility. If I was still part of the breeding class, I would make reservations now and have a glorious stay. "If I could leave 0 stars, I would. The doctors did not truly listen to my concerns, and any knowledge of my condition that I personally brought was immediately labeled "Dr.Google" and I was LITERALLY told "See, this is why doctors hate Google." My situation was rare and complicated and I did not expect for ER docs to know all about it. Knowing the rarity, I brought medical literature so that they COULD familiarize themselves with what was going on, as a delay in care could result in accute organ damage, coma, or even death.... I was not taken seriously. The doctor refused to even look at it, and when I asked for him to please do just 5 minutes of his own research, he "promised" but never even came back to the room. I was told by a nurse that I was wrong, and promptly discharged after asking for reasonable things, like IV fluids because I was severely dehydrated. I told them I was not comfortable being discharged without proper care, or to go home and sleep unsupervised, and they still discharged me AND called security on me. Of course they said "come back if your symptoms worsen"... I had to travel 2 hours to an out of area facility before I was given proper care, and labs show markers for the organ damage I was trying to prevent. So, if you want a doctor dictatorship... yeah go here... if you want a conversation with your doc, go ANYWHERE else."
