About the Sacramento County Animal Shelter Off Leash Dog Park
The Sacramento County Animal Shelter Off Leash Dog Park, located at 3839 Bradshaw Road in Sacramento, California, is a two-acre park in front of the new Sacramento County Animal Care Shelter. The Roy C. Marcum Bark Park features separate areas for large and small dogs, as well as doggy drinking fountains for their convenience. This park was built in partnership with grant money from the County Department of Regional Parks, making it one of the first municipal shelters in the nation to have a dog park on-site. By providing a safe and designated off-leash area, the park aims to encourage dog owners to follow leash laws while allowing their furry friends to exercise, socialize, and interact with other dogs and owners. The Sacramento County Animal Shelter Off Leash Dog Park is a great place for dogs to play and for owners to connect with the community in a fun and responsible way.

Reviews of Sacramento County Animal Shelter Off Leash Dog Park
"We brought in a young cat that appeared to be a stray. We told the shelter that if they can't find the owner we'd like to adopt her. They cleaned her up and spayed her and about a week and a half later she's living in our home as a member of our family now. The employees at the shelter were efficient and great to work with and really work hard to find homes for all the animals!"
"This was honesty one of the best experiences I have had at a park since moving to Sacramento. The gated areas were well tended, and had plenty of shade for my dog to run. On top of that, every single person and animal we met was absolutely delightful. This really is a great place to take your friend for a romp."
"Great place to meet new friends. Equipped with benches & poop bags. There is a side for large dogs and small dogs."
"Great outdoor park for your furry friends. Like others have said it lacks shades so it can get quite warm."
"I went to this dog park for the first time after driving by it many of times. My dog had a blast (but then again she is a dog). I liked it though. The area was well maintained, the dogs were friendly, and so were the people. It had a nice community feel. Many people knew other dogs' names and chatted with other park goers. If it was closer to my house I would be a regular, unfortunately I am not so Spring and I will just have to visit whenever we are in the area."
