Reviews of Underground Tours
"The tour guides had to stay in character which made it so much fun! Our tour guide called cars horseless carriages, I want to start calling cars that. When I booked I thought this was a tour that took you down to the old mining tunnels, but it was actually the actual old Sacramento streets. The tour was shorter than I expected, but I learned a lot nonetheless. The tour has a max capacity so def secure your spot early! Ps. You're not allowed to take pictures underground hence no pics!"
"You learn so much from this tour and it is all so interesting (even for those that are not into history). The guide really takes you back in time and gets into character by acting as though she is someone from that time. She'll answer any question as though she was living it. It was very cool! I definitely recommend this tour for anyone visiting Sacramento, even for a last minute plan."
"Great tour! Did not realize the rich history that surrounds the Sacramento Area. Reasonably priced. Our exceptional tour guide John Keenan was knowledgeable and showed our group a fun time."
"An amazing tour on the history of gold rush, humans’ greed, resilience, ingenuity, innovation, kindness, tolerance and team work. The tour guide ( Maria ) was a nice senior lady who loved her job, was knowledgable and had a strong communication skills. That costed me only $25 for the tour and visiting the museum. Parking was available on the street for $1.75 an hours using city’s meter."
"Lots of history on this tour. Growing up in the Bay Area we’ve never been to this area. The weather was a little drizzly but the tour was fun. We had a 7 and 9 year old and they both enjoyed it. We made reservations online a week before and tickets included admission to the museum"
